Well, I'm going to make this short :)
I've made a new version of Nethack, it has a lot of neet stuff added
including two new classes (Doppleganger and Monk) and many new artifacts
and items (even two new commands: CTRL-B --> Steal and CTRL-Y Polymorph
at will <only for Doplegangers>) In fact, there are so many new changes,
I don't really want to waste all the bandwidth and put them here.
If your interested, the files are avaliable for anonymous ftp at:
ftp.krl.caltech.edu in the directory
/pub/nethack/Variants/NhPlus
or you could send me an E-Mail note and I could send ya' a copy
of the changes.
BTW, the Dos Executables are not there ... yet. But I have put a copy of
djgpp and ndmake there (for those of you who don' know: a freeware compiler
and makefile executer) so if you feal like compiling ... go to it!

Wow, what it seems we need is a new mailing list: People who don't know
how to compile with DOS, let alone patch a patchfile, and yet REALLY want
new versions of NetHack. If anyone feels bored enough to make something
like this, kindly add me to the list.

When I put my new version at krl.caltech.edu I thought "Hmmm ... a lot
of people arn't going to be able to compile this. What should I do?"
Then the thought struck me (whap!) why don't I also include the compiler
and all the tools necessary to compile you own (at least on a PC)!
So I did.
For anyone with a 386/sx with min. 1 meg ram (or better) all you have to do
is download, follow the instructions I provided, unzip about 3 files ...
and possable look in the newly created c:\nh\sys\msdos dir for more detailed
instructions.
If too many people can't seem to do this, I'll put a copy at krl.
PS: THIS IS INPORTANT! ---> If you download the source, PLEASE send me an
E-Mail note and tell me you did so. I'm going
to try to keep track of all (most? some?) the
copies in circulation .... I tend to change
things a lot :)
BTW, if posting or mailing me about this version, please refer to it as
NethackPlus, or just NhPlus. With all the other versions floating around
this is probally a good idea :)

Will this compile under UNIX?
Does someone wanna take the time to make the diffs available rather then the
huge source packet (>1 Meg)? :)
Thanks!
