I was looking for a small portable scanner, to scan small
paragraphs and/or single lines of text. The idea is to use it
to make schemes of books, a thing I actually make with the
typical yellow-ink marker.

So, ideal device would be a small one, with no cards and no power
box (ie:batteries or sun cells!), sized as a pen or as my old yellow
marker, and as fast as the pen to mark (ie read) a line.
Obviusly, I can accept a weaker product... If fact I dont know if this
product exist, I have seen one in Kanstanz University, to read
signatures of books in the bibliotheque, but I dont know if it was
really a optical device.
It would be a valueble product for students, specially for humanities
students, who have a lot of work extracting quotations, schemes, etc.
A cheap and portable thing would do the hard copyst work.
