Announcing Prism: a new roleplaying system by Frank J. Perricone

Prism is available directly from me on a not-for-profit basis, for the cost
of printing and binding ($7.00 US) plus shipping ($2.00 US or $3.50 US to
Canada). Prism is 156 pages plus full-color cover, with front and back
covers drawn specially for Prism; the whole is comb-bound and protected
by transparencies on both sides. Comb-binding lets it lay flat and last
forever.

Features of Prism include:
* Universal system works in any genre
* Modular: plug in any combat system (it comes pre-configured for ICE's
system but should be easily adapted for any other), any magik or
psionics system (three appendices describe interfaces for Spell Law,
GURPS Magic, and its own system), etc.
* Flexible character creation system does not use classes or levels, yet
accurately reflects "aptitudes" and character development
* Makes just about any character you can think of, within the loose point
system and the GM's approval
* Encourages well-developed characters and plot development over wargaming,
treasure-delving, munchkinism, etc.
* Any character can make an attempt at any skill under any circumstances
and has a chance of failure and a chance of success, though the odds may
be extremely low!
* GMs are given lots of info about the results of skill attempts
* Includes an extremely fast yet realistic and flexible initiative system
as well as several extension combat rules
* The effects of being untrained in a skill, having similar skills, etc.
are calculated easily using mechanics built into the skill development
system, not tacked on later
* Very few charts (all of character creation, for instance, requires only
2 charts for PCs)
* With a complete example of character creation from start to finish, in
context, as well as an example of further development
* Comes with photocopiable character sheets, GM's screen, and skill
reference list
