The following is a recap of the UWA show of today, 5\16, on the Mexican
Imevision network.

Before I start, let me say that I am looking for someone in the Southern
United States, preferably Florida or Texas, who has or has access to a
satellite dish. I am looking for this person to tape the weekly UWA
show for me. Up North, the recpetion is fair at best and if anyone fits
this bill and wants to trade, I can provide tapes from practically any
promotion in the World. If interested, reply via E mail.

This week's show began with a brighter look. I believe the show was
taped at Arena Nezahualcoyotl. Alcatraz was back at his commentating
duties after a two week absence.

The first match Featured Los Cowboys, El Texano and Silver King, against
my favorite "big" tag team, the Headhunters. The Headhunters came out
in full Abdullah regalia. Those of you who have not seen them, will
hopefully get to see what they do best if they are booked right at the
Clash. The opening fall was all action culminating with a Moonsault off
of the top by Headhunter A. It is amazing to see guys that big do that
move.

The second fall went to the Cowboys after both Texano and One of the
Headhunters missed consecutive moonsault's from the top rope. To get a
feel for the Hunters, imagine PU News doing a moonsault from the top
rope. To quote Homey, "I don't think so!"

The Tercera went to the Hunters after Hunter A switched places with a
pinned Hunter B, attacking Silver King in the process. This would have
caused a DQ had the refs seen it. They didn't. they did not show the
belts changing so I don't know if they did. Rating *** 1\4.

In the second match, Tinieblas Jr and Sr and Gran Hamada took 2 of 3
falls from Kahos, Shu El Guerrero, and Dr. Wagner Jr. It was an OK
match with the highlight being the Rudos tossing around the Tinieblas'
mascot Alushe. Alushe is a dwarf who wears a costume similar to
Chewbacca from Star Wars. Gran Hamada looked good. Rating ** 1\4.

The main event had Fishman, Killer, and Rambo take two of three falls
from Pegasus Kid (Chris Benoit), Dos Caras, and Villano 3. The Rudos
brawled to victory in the first fall. The technico's tooke the segunda
when Benoit did the Lucha version of the frankensteiner on Rambo and
caras did the same on Fishman. The Rudos took the Tercera when, after
Killer did a good dive over the top onto Villano 3 and Caras followed
with an over the top dive on Rambo, Pegasus tried a off the top rope
onto Fishman. Fishman moved and then pinned Benoit with a version of
the Tiger Driver. This, of course, sets up a WWF Light Heavyweight
title match between Fishman and Pegasus. Rating ** 3\4.

As with my Japanese recaps, if you liked this, let me know and I will
continue to post it.
