Q811493 W2k performance issues

looks like WS03-013 is causing some issues with Windows
2000. Our testing team has found performance issues up to
40% on a fully configured desktop. based on the
infomation I have found on the XP newsgroup I guess this
is a virus protection application issue.

Until the update is fixed, it should only have been available as a manual
download for those who absolutely wanted to install it. I am telling people to
keep away from it, and I am not going to install this fix on any computer I am
responsible for...

Also, it looks like this update is scheduled to be incorporated in SP4 (file
name Q811493_W2K_SP4_X86_EN.exe), I really hope they get it fixed before the
SP4 development is freezed (it is in beta now), or else I think SP4 will end up
on the no no list as well...
