First a happy newyear to all of you!!!
I promised Haunter to post a message,where i tell a little
more about the using of self hypnosis in lucid dreams.Well,
here it is!!
Introduction:
As a child,i could always remember what i dreamed.I always
found dreaming exciting and enjoyed flying in my dreams. At
the age of ten,i had a dream about being pursued by a man
who was very angry at me.At a point,i run to a building and
thought about a comic hero called Vision, who could change
his density in order to go through walls and so on.
i imagined that i was him,and suggested that i was empty
and i jumped through the wall and was in that building. The
angry man could not follow me.This was really fun so i
remembered this tech and used it when i was dreaming.
Later in my lucid years i discovered that by being empty i
also good walk over water.

At the age of nineteen i had my first lucid dream.I was
walking near my house, and suddenly i thought "hey man,iam
dreaming."I walked to the nearest food shop, entered, and
started eating all that i liked.Chips and cookies and
chocolate. Then the shopkeeper shouted at me"who is paying
for all of that?"And i said"Come on man,this is a dream!!"
I woke up and thought, that`s funny, and that was that.
I never had heard of the term lucid dreaming, and never had
read about it.And so,for two years i had sometimes lucid
dreams but only thought of it as fun.
Then i had a talk with a friend of mine about colour dreams
and black and white dreams!!He said he had heard that people
who dream in colours are more emotional then those who
dream in black and white.I found that not very logical and
suddenly i realized that i could use my lucid dreams as a
test lab for dreaming.

The lucid dream lab:
I thought that the first tech i should controle in order to
investigate my lucid dreams safely was waking up when i
wanted to.So when i had a lucid dream(several a week)i
focused my thought`s intense to wake up and that worked
fine. But the most interesting part was that the time for
waking up was not the same in my colour dreams as in my
black and white dreams. Most of my lucid dreams always have
been in total black and white.I have about 10 times more b.w
dreams then dreams in colour.I mean total black and white!!
It is very exceptional for me that i encounter dreams that
are in between!
In the colour dreams it took max 1 second to awake, very
easy!!
In the black and white dreams it took at least 5 seconds to
awake.Waking up was really harder.
I did this test for a year or so with 140 lucid dreams.
15 where lucid dreams of colour and 125 where b.w lucid
dreams.
Then i took the conclusion that dreaming in black and white
is in a different level of sleep then dreaming in colour.
Maybe in black and white dreams the brain uses less neurons
then in colour dreaming, like a computer sreen. For my own
experience it was in a deeper level of sleep, the non rem
sleep i thought.I found this very logical more logical then
the explanation based on being more or less emotional.

At that time,i found in the library a book called lucid
dreaming by dr Stephen Laberge. It was so good and it was
great to know that there where lucid dreamers all over the
world.Tried every technique i read about!!Looking at my
hands really stabilized my dream.I also started to read all
the books i could find about lucid dreams, dreaming and books
about the brain and neurotransmitters.
I also did some kungfu and with that training we did also
some meditation. But one night before sleeping i thought,
let`s try it while i lie in bed, because with kungfu we
meditate standing so youre muscles would never totally
relaxe. So i lay in bed and imagined that my head was going
to sleep and only the focus on breathing stayed awake.my
hands upon my plexus solaris. At first nothing happened but
after 1/2 hour al the input from outside my body(sound and
light)was slowly fading away. Then after an hour i was in a
sort of grey nothing, and from the middle of my consciousness
there appeared a visual that get bigger and bigger. It was
really very difficult to stay empty and this point. Then the
visual was totally and i was in a dream of colour.I was
lucid and it broke my concentration so i just started to
look aroud.I was in my bedroom and i decided to go on
meditate like nothing happened. It gave my a floating feeling
but i stayed at dreamlevel, gave me a feeling of total
freedom.Did not no how long it took, but at a point i just
woke up.I felt fantastic and thought did was an addicting
experience. So i did it almost every night, but a side effect
was that after that,i could not fall a sleep.I already had
read a lot about the brain and neurotransmitters, and i
guessed that the reason for that was that my concentration
consumptioned a certain neurotransmitter that was
responsible for the deep sleep.Serotonin is active during
deep sleep,so i took it`s precursor tryptophane,with a lot
of fruit sugar to provoke an insuline shot,so the
tryptophane could go straight through the blood brain
barrier.I did and it worked very good. After a night session
i could now sleep.I learned from this that serotonin plays
an important role in meditation besides it`s role in nonrem-
sleep.
But it was so addicting that i started to meditate the
whole night. That was not so healthy because i had almost no
sleep. So instead of every night i started to do it 3 times
a week.I also started to read about hypnosis and studied the
eeg diagrams of dreamstate, meditation and hypnosis.
then i read about self hypnosis and started to practise it.
With this knowledge and practice i could now improve
meditation by mixing those techniques.I called this mix
trance meditation.
Then after 1/2 a year i had a new idea.One morning i thought
why not try self hypnosis while being lucid!!This really
was an exciting idea!

Self hypnosis in lucid dreams:
So i focused on using self hypnosis in my next lucid dream!
Two days later i had a lucid dream, i was in my bedroom and
i knew that i had a lucid dream and remembered my goal.I sat
in my chair focused at one point and said to myself "sleep"
and tried to let go every time i repeat that.Normally i
don`t do it that way but i had the expectation that because
my body was already in sleep it should be easier to get into
hypnosis.And i was right,what took normally about 2 hours,
now i was in deep hypnosis in a few seconds. It was really
amazing how much easier it was.I kept on giving myself the
suggestion of total sleep. It felt like i was sinking down
and also entered a deeper sleep stage.Everything went black
and there where no visuals any more.It felt like i was in a
black void.My dream body was also gone i was only eyes,i
stopped the hypnotic suggestion after halve a minute in this
black void, because it did not much here, except for keeping
me there. So i started to imagine all kind of things.Flowers,
birds,a house and so on but nothing appeared what ever
suggestion i used, this was totally different then dream
sleep.Could it be that i entered the deep sleep, the stage of
sleep where delta waves are dominant?!!I had the feeling i
was moving upwards and after half a minute there appeared
visuals again and i entered a black and white dream. Then i
wondered what would happen if i would try self hypnosis like
the first time.so i focused again at one point and said to
my self"sleep...sleep..."and within a few seconds i had the
feeling that i was sinking, and at the same time i had the
association of sleep.I entered the black void and again i
tried to imagine visuals but it did not work. Then again i
had the feeling i was moving upwards and again the visuals
appeared and i was back in my black and white dream. Then i
stayed in my lucid dream, was really excited and woke up!!
Wow,was i impressed!!I told all my friends how good hypnosis
had worked in my dreams. And i dicided to examine all the
hypnosis techniques in my coming lucid dreams.
I had three techniques to examine in both colour and b/w
lucid dreams.

1.focus at one point and "keep repeating "sleep".
2.The trance meditation to let the dreambody sleep or in
other words, let the association of the dream body go!
3.left/right hemisphere trance. This is just rocking youre
head very gentle to the left side of youre neck and then to
youre right side of youre neck.At a constant rythem, about
0.75 hertz. While you do so you keep repeating "sleep".

I tried these tech in b/w dreams and in colour dreams, and
again there was a difference.
Only in b/w lucid dreams i was able to reach the deep sleep,
and it was easy to.
In lucid dreams of colour it was very easy to change what i
saw into what ever i wanted with technique 1.When i was in
hypnosis after i used tech 1,i just kept on looking at one
point,and what ever i suggested appeared!Sometimes, after
sometime had past,i had to repeat tech 1 again and full
visual control was back.

I had one b/w lucid dream where i did the trance meditation,
and i started to totally relaxe my dream hands,in order to
let them go.At sometime when i was already under hypnosis i
felt a connection from the dream hand to my brain. And
suddenly i gave myself the suggestion to let my brain
totally go.In a split second i was falling into the black
void, deeper and deeper towards a trance(sleep) so Deep that
i knew(instinct), i would lose control very soon.So i
focused with al my will to go upwards and awaken. After 10
seconds i was slowing down and slowly going upwards again
and entered after some time the b/w dream again.I had
discovered a very direct way to enter the deep sleep or
even to go beyond.
I later went beyond the black void, using the same tech.
Beyond the black void you are suddenly surrounded with a
bright white light, you hear a high frequency sound and it
feels like falling down faster and faster. That is where i
now have still control.i guess that beyond, there could be
2 possibilities, coma or an OB.Both are not that strange
because deep sleep has an end at 0.5 hz.Delta waves have a
range between 4 hz and 0.5 hz,which is the deep sleep.

My progress is that with self hypnosis i can control the
visuals in a lucid dream of colour. And from b/w lucid
dreams can go to deep sleep and stay conscious.
I have done much more tests with self hypnosis but this was
the most important part.
What iam saying is that any one who is a lucid dreamer can
learn self hypnosis from a good book and then with some
practice while awake,he/she can try it in a lucid dream.
But you have to practise first in real life because
otherwise u can not suggest the association from youre
memory in youre lucid dream, because you don`t know that
association(how hypnosis feels)!!!!!!!!

Righthemisphere:
The righthemisphere plays an important role in dream
controle!!In lucid dreams i sometimes try to let things fly,
like a car or a vase or table.I sometimes fail, inspite of
all my effort.then i start to sing or dance(making the
right hemisphere active)in my lucid dream and try again.
Most of the time then i succeed.I think association is a
link with the righthemisphere and is not rational and by
singing and dancing iam more in association mode.So if i
want something to fly but i only wish it rationally ,nothing
happens!!Live youre dream!!!
Well Haunter i hope you like it!!
Greetings Jeff.
