I don't know about Japan, but I've spent enough time in Germany
and the UK to know that 5DM and 1 pound coins were used in their
respective countries with as much regularity as we in the US use
quarters. The 5DM coin is the equivalent of over US$2.50 and the
1 pound coin around US$1.50. While not quite up to the $5
mentioned above, that's still some pretty significant change.

Well I *know* that's not true! I've BEEN to Japan, and I know for
a FACT that they don't have $5 coins. They use YEN in Japan,
except it's actually called EN. And I have it on good authority
that neither Germany nor Engerland use $5 coins either. They
use Deutschmarks and Pounds respectively. Please get your facts

Then there's £2 coins. They're big big big and heavy and eye
catching. I have one right here. They might as well be called
"Pint tokens" or "Beer Tokens" because that's when you use
them.

Then there's 10FF coins which are exactly the same size and shape
as £1 coins. But they've got SILVER in the middle(like the beer
tokens) instead of being solid yellowy like the £1.

Why don't we have Beer Tokens in america?

And why don't bars have different platforms for different beers?

Or season passes?

Whaa..? What country is this that has a hexadecimal
monetary system?

And they thought the British system was screwed up
before it went decimal!

While searchenginebombing alt.religion.kibology, Tlerll
(tle...@earthlink.net) trolled us with:

: Then there's u2 coins.

This is the part where I say:

"HAW HAW, and they have Bono on the front!"

: Then there's 10FF coins which are exactly the same size and shape
: as £1 coins. But they've got SILVER in the middle(like the beer

: tokens) instead of being solid yellowy like the £1.

You mean instead of them being liquidy yellowy, like a cake-farted
lemoncake?

: Why don't we have Beer Tokens in america?

Wait, you don't know? We've been in Prohibition for, like, the last
80 years! There's no beer here. The pinkertons would get us.

: Or season passes?

Well it must be time you got yourself a Japanese 500 Yen coin.
They have "500 YEN" on the edge.

That's because I don't NEED to! My spelling is PERFECT!

And I'm NOT because that position is already amply overfilled by YOU!!1!

I did.

Oh yeah, somebody says that they went to Japan and they were spending
$5 coins and they really meant something else. That's REALLY SMART,
"Steven Preston", if that IS your REAL name!!!

> Please get your spelling straight before posting to USENET.

Well I DID! Unlike YOU! It's UNSENET, which stands for the
United Nations Special Education NET. Like as if everybody
doesn't know that already!! When you get the UNSENET bills
from the United Nations every month, it's written right
there on the top of the bill: UNSENET! Do you just pay the
bills without even reading them???

> And thanks in advance would be: advTHANKSance

Now you're just being silly. Thanks In Advance is obviously this:
THAadvanceNKS!!!1! <<-- THANKS IN ADVANCE
Whereas you mistakenly put this:
advTHANKSance <<-- RUBBISH!
You see where you went wrong now???

NICEhaveaDAY!

What is NET an acrynym for?

I don't get UNSENET bills. I only get UNSENET coinage.
