So I'm sitting around here at the computer, with CNN droning on and on
in the background.

I hear that SOME GUY SHOT UP AN OFFICE IN SUBURBAN BOSTON!!! and of
course the first thing I think is, ``Oh dear, Kibo finally snapped
from the strain of being a Net God.''

I see pictures of A BURNING DEATHTRAP DISCO IN CHINA!!! and of course
the first thing I think of is ``Gosh, I hope Haon wasn't there!''

Last week I had this weird dream about regular expressions. I was
somehow able to seal real-life objects off from the rest of reality by
writing down their names on a piece of paper and putting ^ or $ or \b
or \A or whatever around them. But that wasn't as odd as the time
that I had this dream....this elaborate Platonic dialogue between
Socrates and Matt McIrvin that took place on some tropical island
somewhere.

I think the Platonic dialogue was really interesting too. At least, I
remember thinking so right when I woke up from that dream, but now I
can't remember anything about how the dialogue went.

Drat the luck.
