The Apostle Paul on Judaized Jews (Paul Himself Was a Jew By Birth)

The Apostle Paul says much in two Bible scriptures:
1 Thessalonians 2:14,15 (English-NIV):
14 For you, brothers, became imitators of God's churches in Judea,
which are in Christ Jesus: You suffered from your own countrymen the
same things those churches suffered from the Jews,
15 who killed the Lord Jesus and the prophets and also drove us out.
They displease God and are hostile to all men.
Notice the fine points made by the Apostle Paul in this little bit of
scripture!
He brought out in two verses:
1) " those churches suffered from the Jews" Those sweet harmless
little Jews were committing "hate crimes" against Christians!
2) "They displease God.." The Temple is still in ruins as a testament
to that fact! Undeniable wouldn't you say? And last BUT certainly not
least by any stretch of the imagination:
3) "They (Jews) are hostile to all men."
I might as well throw this in seeing how I mentioned "Hate Crimes."
Historically, who do most people think were more brutal- Nazis or
Pharisees?
Persecution and torture:
Matthew 23:34 (English-RSV)
[Jesus warned] Therefore I send you prophets and wise men and
scribes, some of whom you will kill and crucify, and some you will
scourge in your synagogues and persecute from town to town....
[To scourge means to lash or whip severely. Imagine Jews chasing
people from town to town and flogging them in their synagogues! It
happened and it is documented in the Bible for all to see! Tavish]
The fulfillment:
Acts 5:27-30,40,41 (English-RSV)
27 And when they had brought them [Apostles], they set them before the
council. And the high priest questioned them,
28 saying, "We strictly charged you not to teach in this name, yet
here you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching and you intend to
bring this man's blood upon us."
29 But Peter and the apostles answered, "We must obey God rather than
men.
30 The God of our fathers raised Jesus whom you killed by hanging him
on a tree.
40 ... they had called in the apostles, they beat them and charged
them not to speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go.
41 Then they left the presence of the council, rejoicing that they
were counted worthy to suffer dishonor for the name.
Acts 8:1-3 (English-RSV)
1 And Saul was consenting to his death. And on that day a great
persecution arose against the church in Jerusalem; and they were all
scattered throughout the region of Judea and Sama'ria, except the
apostles.
2 Devout men buried Stephen, and made great lamentation over him.
3 But Saul was ravaging the church, and entering house after house, he
dragged off men and women and committed them to prison.
Acts 9:1,2 (English-RSV)
1 But Saul, still breathing threats and murder against the disciples
of the Lord, went to the high priest
2 and asked him for letters to the synagogues at Damascus, so that if
he found any belonging to the Way, men or women, he might bring them
bound to Jerusalem.
Saul later became the Apostle Paul after being "converted" on the road
to Damascus and here is his confession of what he did to Christians:
Acts 22:1,2,4,5-8,19,20 (English-RSV)
1[Apostle Paul speaks]"Brethren and fathers, hear the defense which I
now make before you."
2 And when they heard that he addressed them in the Hebrew language,
they were the more quiet. And he said:
4 I persecuted this Way to the death, binding and delivering to prison
both men and women,
5 as the high priest and the whole council of elders bear me witness.
From them I received letters to the brethren, and I journeyed to
Damascus to take those also who were there and bring them in bonds to
Jerusalem to be punished.
6 "As I made my journey and drew near to Damascus, about noon a great
light from heaven suddenly shone about me.
7 And I fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to me, 'Saul,
Saul, why do you persecute me?'
8 And I answered, 'Who are you, Lord?' And he said to me, 'I am Jesus
of Nazareth whom you are persecuting.' ......
19 And I said, 'Lord, they themselves know that in every synagogue I
imprisoned and beat those who believed in thee. [YLT version: and I
said, Lord, they -- they know that I was imprisoning and was scourging
in every synagogue those believing on thee]
20 And when the blood of Stephen thy witness was shed, I also was
standing by and approving, and keeping the garments of those who
killed him.' ....

them blaspheme; and in raging fury against them, I persecuted them
even to foreign cities.
{The Apostle Paul was really some sort of a vicious "Nazi" wasn't he
when he existed as a Pharisee named Saul? He did all of this
persecution in the name of Judaism! Proof below.}
Galatians 1:1,13,14 (English-RSV)
1 Paul an apostle--not from men nor through man, but through Jesus
Christ and God the Father, who raised him from the dead--
13 For you have heard of my former life in Judaism, how I persecuted
the church of God violently and tried to destroy it;
14 and I advanced in Judaism beyond many of my own age among my
people, so extremely zealous was I for the traditions of my fathers.
Acts 26:1,4,5 (English-RSV)
1 Agrippa said to Paul, "You have permission to speak for yourself."
Then Paul stretched out his hand and made his defense:
4 "My manner of life from my youth, spent from the beginning among my
own nation and at Jerusalem, is known by all the Jews.
5 They have known for a long time, if they are willing to testify,
that according to the strictest party of our religion I have lived as
a Pharisee.
Here is what the Universal Encyclopedia (1905 ed) says of the
relations of the First Century Christians and Pharisees: "In the
passages referring to the Christian period, "minim" usually indicates
Judeo-Christians.... During the first century of Christianity the
Rabbis lived on friendly terms with the minim.... These friendly
feelings, however, gradually gave way to violent hatred, as the minim
separated themselves from all connection with Jews and propagated
writings which the Rabbis considered more dangerous to the unity of
Judaism than those of the pagans. 'The writings of the minim,' says
Rabbi Tarfon, 'deserve to be burned, even though the holy name of God
occurs therein'... It was forbidden to partake meat, bread, and wine
with the min. Scrolls of the Law, tefillin, and mezuzot written by a
min were burned (Git. 45b ; Yer, Shab. 14b ; Ab, Zarah 40b...) ... The
relatives of a min were not permitted to observe the laws of mourning
after his death, but they were required to assume festive garments and
rejoice (Sem. ii. 10; Yoreh De'ah, 345).... an Israelite who found
anything belonging to a min was forbidden to return it to him (see

had seen him in the temple, stirred up all the crowd, and laid hands
on him,
30 Then all the city was aroused, and the people ran together; they
seized Paul and dragged him out of the temple, and at once the gates
were shut.

12 When it was day, the Jews made a plot and bound themselves by an
oath neither to eat nor drink till they had killed Paul.
13 There were more than forty who made this conspiracy.
14 And they went to the chief priests and elders, and said, "We have
strictly bound ourselves by an oath to taste no food till we have
killed Paul.
15 You therefore, along with the council, give notice now to the
tribune to bring him down to you, as though you were going to
determine his case more exactly. And we are ready to kill him before
he comes near."
[NOTE: Acts 23: 15 (English-NIV) council is rendered as Sanhedrin:
Now then, you and the Sanhedrin petition the commander to bring him
before you on the pretext of wanting more accurate information about
his case. We are ready to kill him before he gets here.]
We all know who these Jews were; they were adherents if the Pharisees
and the Sanhedrin was the Pharisees' "court."

The Universal Jewish Encyclopedia (1943 edition, page 474] says:
"The Jewish religion as it is today traces its descent, without a
break, through all the centuries, from the Pharisees. Their leading
ideas and methods found expression in a literature of enormous extent,
of which a very great deal is still in existence. The Talmud is the

it are gathered a number of Midrashim, partly legal (Halachic) and
partly works of edification (Haggadic)."

MOSCOW (Reuter) - A Russian presidential commission said
Monday that 200,000 clergy were systematically murdered under
Soviet rule in a horrific cycle of crucifixions, scalpings and
``bestial tortures.''
Commission chairman Alexander Yakovlev, presenting the
report at a news conference, seemed unconcerned that it might
deter electors from voting communist or nationalist in
parliamentary elections on Dec. 17.
``If it has an influence, I will be very satisfied,'' he
said.
The report by the Commission for the Rehabilitation of the
Victims of Political Repression also found that another 500,000
religious figures suffered persecution in the decades after
Vladimir Lenin's Bolsheviks seized power.
``Documents relate how clergymen, monks, nuns were crucified
on royal gates and shot in the basements of the Cheka (secret
police), scalped, strangled, drowned and submitted to other
bestial tortures,'' he said.
Yakovlev said some of the material, from archives of the
former ruling politburo and security services, had not been
previously published and that uncovering it was traumatic.
``I was especially shocked by accounts of priests turned
into columns of ice in winter... But that's not all, there were
crucifixions ... It was total cruelty.''
He said hundreds of people were shot for not giving up
church property, and only a fraction of the proceeds were spent
on the poor as the authorities had promised.

There are more missionaries per square inch in Israel probably than in
the Bible belt. And I have very good missionary friends in Israel who I
love dearly and almost converted me. Lovely people and a very seductive
religion. ANd Pat Robertson's 700 Club blasts in on Israel from morning
to night, as well as in other parts of the ME. Israel welcomes good
Christian allies but some of those missionaries are too aggressive and
young children are often easily influenced. Israel has to take SOME steps
to curb the more extreme evangelizing efforts that go beyond bounds of
fairness. How would you like Rabbis in ALabama going around spreading
Judaism to little kids by giving them money or giving out food just to
lure kids and the poor into synagogues to "save their souls." Why, you'd
have Jew-lynchings all over the south. In some Arab countries active
missionaries could get the DEATH penalty. However, in Israel, if the
activities are out of bounds it amounts to little more than a fine. We
all understand that evangelization is the main goal of Christianity, but
that doesn't mean that every tactic and every method of manipulating the
weak and the poor must be passively accepted. WE don't go around
converting people to our faith, and we have some right to keep unsavory
soul snatchers within reasonable bounds of behavior.

JERUSALEM (CNN) - The dwindling number of Christians in the Holy Land
are facing yet another threat. Militant Jews and Israelis are trying
to force members of the religion from seeking converts in the country.
Most alarming to Christians is a newly proposed law that would let
authorities jail anyone who shares Christian literature.
"It could even include the New Testament because, after all, that is
certainly a document Jesus would say, 'go out into the world and make
disciples,'" Pastor Ray Lockhart of Christ's Church in Jerusalem says.
The proposed legislation is aimed at those who possess, print,
reproduce, distribute, import, track or publicize information meant as
an inducement to religious conversion.
"We are a Jewish state," explains Israeli Knesset member and bill
co-sponsor Niffim Zilli. "We want to remain a Jewish state."
Much of the literature in a small Christian bookstore in Jerusalem
would be outlawed by the legislation in its present form. Orthodox
Jews already visit the store to harass customers, and there are fears
that if the proposed anti-missionary law passes, militants might try
to close the shop.
"I see this as being quite contrary to human rights, particularly to
the right of religious freedom and choice of religion," Lockhart says.
Zilli's reply: "Stop your missionary activity in Israel. Stop it!"
Christian Evangelical missions give free food to poor Orthodox Jews in
Jerusalem, and indigents line up to accept it.
"Some of Israel's best friends around the world come from the
Bible-believing Christian communities. And if it is seen as though
Israel or the government is opposing the people who have been the best
friends of Israel, then perhaps support for it could run cold,"
Clarence Wagner of Bridges for Peace said.
The legislation has cleared its first parliamentary hurdle. Prime
Minister Benjamin Netanyahu strongly opposes it, but some believe it
could pass over his objections, especially if Orthodox Jews decide to
engage in muscle-flexing.

Prague - A new "anti-missionary law has been proposed in Israel. The
law was passed in a preliminary reading before the Knesset by a margin
of 21 to 7. The law, which has now been referred to committee for
possible revisions before being submitted to a full Knesset, will have
to pass three readings before becoming law.
The bill makes it illegal "to hold, print, copy, distribute or hand
out any kind of literature in which there is any form of an effort to
persuade another to change his religion." On an even more ominous
note, some lawmakers, during the reading of the bill made comments
suggesting they intended to enact laws in the future which would
outlaw all "Messianic" organizations and activity in Israel.
Messianic Jewish and Christian groups in Israel have called for a
campaign to publicize the situation and to persuade lawmakers that it
could result in a public relations disaster for Israel.
The bill has caused deep foreboding as its terms are vague and
wide-ranging. It does not specify what kind of material is referred to
or what kind of possession would be illegal. Distribution could
include personal letters, gifts and bibles. Pray for the Christians of

A house panel approved a bill closing possible loopholes in the ban on
federal spending for doctor- assisted suicide. It is now illegal to
spend federal money for criminal offenses but with the Supreme Court
considering these cases it is necessary to be more specific or our tax

Evangelism Threatened In Israel
Two members of the Israeli Parliament (the Knesset) have
introduced a bill that would eliminate evangelistic outreach in
Israel. Bill 174c bans the possession, distribution, import, sharing
or advertising of materials that attempt to induce religious
conversion. Any such material would be subject to immediate
confiscation if the bill became law.
The bill is specifically aimed at Messianic groups -- Jews who
practice the Jewish faith but believe that Jesus is the Messiah. It
would prohibit the distribution of the New Testament and any sort of
evangelistic literature. Although Prime Minister Netanyahu opposes the
bill, he has not made any sort of effort to stop its passage.
According to current estimates the bill has enough votes to pass.

Moshe Gafni (Torah Judaism Party) and Nissim Zvili (Secretary General
of the Labor Party) have co-sponsored the following bill which will be
voted on by Israel's entire Knesset:
PROHIBITION OF INDUCEMENT FOR RELIGIOUS CONVERSION #174C
A. Whoever possesses contrary to the law or prints or copies or
distributes or shares or imports tracts or advertises things in which
there is an inducement for religious conversion is punishable by one
year imprisonment.
B. Any tract or advertisement in which there is inducement to
religious conversion will be confiscated.
WHAT DOES THIS BILL MEAN TO EVANGELICAL CHRISTIANS AND TO MESSIANIC
JEWS?
1. Any Evangelical Christian, Arab Christian or Messianic Jew that
possesses evangelistic materials or verbally shares his or her faith
will be liable to be punished by one year's imprisonment. This could
also occur for passing out a tract or giving an Israeli a New
Testament. It could also include the act of photocopying a tract,
printing or handing a Jew any publication which promotes the Name of
Yeshua (Jesus).
2. If an Israeli or tourist produces or brings into Israel any
Evangelistic materials, whether in print, audio or video form, the
Government will confiscate all such materials immediately.
Although not written into this bill, Nissim Zvili, its co-sponsorer,
indicated his future intentions are to criminalize any institutions
and activites in Israel which have Evangelism as one of their main
intentions.
HOW MUCH SUPPORT DOES THIS AMENDMENT HAVE?
This "Anti-missionary" bill has passed its preliminary reading in the
Knesset by a vote of 21 to 7 and has been referred to committee for
possible amendments before being resubmitted to the full Knesset.
(Translator's note: The term "missionary" as used in this context
refers to ANY individual who engages in attempts to persuade others to
his personal religious viewpoint.)
This bill also has the backing of two very prominent Israelis: Finance
Minister Yoram Meridor and Ehud Barak, who may be the Labor Party's
next Candidate for Prime Minister of Israel.
According to the Israeli Government Press Office, which canvassed the
Knesset, 78 Members (out of 120 Members) stated that they WOULD
support the bill. This includes the active support of ALL the Orthodox
Jewish Parties totaling 23 Members.
Consequently, regardless of what Prime Minister Netanyahu, Israeli
Consulates or Government officials say, it is not likely that this
amendment co-sponsored by the Orthodox Parties and Labor will be
defeated unless a great worldwide outcry of "Human Rights Abuse" is
raised!
HAS THE PERSECUTION INCREASED EVEN BEFORE THE
AMENDMENT IS PASSED?
Baruch Maoz, Chairman of Israel's Messianic Action Committee, writes:
"The mere proposal of the Law has already created an atmosphere...
Andrei Milesh, who completed his basic training with honors and was
assigned to a crack unit of the Israeli army, has been removed from
his unit because 'it was discovered that he converted to (some form
of) Christianity' - as if to say that Christians are second class
citizens who are not to be trusted in battle-worthy units of the army.
"Earlier on, the police (armed with an illegal search warrant) broke
into a meeting of Messianic believers in Kiryat Gat, confiscated
Bibles and Evangelistic materials which were returned only following a
stern protest from the United Christian Council in Israel. Other
materials confiscated in Haifa have not yet been returned.
"The Bible Society and Torch Christian Bookshops in Jerusalem have
been threatened by unknown persons that, unless they desist from
evangelism, they will be burnt down!"

Netanyahu promises opposition to "anti-missionary" proposal

RICHMOND, Va. (BP)--Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has
assured evangelical Christians his government will defeat a proposed
bill to outlaw certain methods of evangelism.
Dubbed the "anti-missionary law," it has triggered an outpouring of
opposition from inside and outside of Israel. It was introduced as a
private members' bill after the government committee that represents
Netanyahu's ruling coalition refused to support it. It passed in its
first of four readings with scarcely a fourth of the legislature, the
Knesset, voting.
"The government strenuously objects to this bill and will act to
ensure that it does not pass," Netanyahu said in a letter to Elwood
McQuaid, executive director of the U.S.-based Friends of Israel.
"Israel deeply values your support and that of Christians throughout
the United States," he added.
Netanyahu's statement puts to rest the question of whether he actually
intends -- on this issue -- to stand by internationally accepted
standards of free speech and the Israeli declaration of independence.
His resolve pits him against radical Jewish parties he needs in his
government coalition to maintain a ruling majority.
That still leaves open the possibility that, even without his support,
proponents of the restrictions could garner enough votes on the floor
of the Knesset to push the bill through.
Or, as many insiders believe, Orthodox parties will use the proposal
to test political waters, then later press such restrictions in the
courts. Or they could even present the bill again during a future
crisis of Netanyahu's government and require passage as a condition
for their staying in and saving Netanyahu's majority coalition.
The proposal touches the heart of a greater struggle in Israel today:
a religious war waged by a minority of Jews to control a largely
non-religious and secular-minded society. Another measure they have
introduced would strip Reform and Conservative Jews of the status that
Orthodox Jews hold within Israel.
Israeli Orthodox parties have threatened to withhold support from
Netanyahu -- and thus bring down his government -- if that bill is not
approved.
The anti-missionary law would alter Israel's penal code to prohibit
"inducement for religious conversion" and sets a one-year jail term
for "whoever possesses contrary to the law or prints or imports tracts
or publishes things in which there is an inducement for religious
conversion."
Further, the law would authorize the government to confiscate "any
tract or advertisement in which there is inducement to religious
conversion." An explanation accompanying the law states that "the
state of Israel, in the framework of the existing laws, is opposed to
any missionary seduction to convert religion ...."
"Missionary" means any individual who tries to persuade others to
change their religious viewpoint. The bill expands an "anti-bribery
law" already on the books outlawing the use of material gain to induce
a person to change religions.
Human rights advocates oppose the bill because it disregards Israel's
May 14, 1948, declaration of independence. In that document, written
in the years after the Holocaust drove Jews from Europe, Israel
promises to "uphold the full social and political equality of all its
citizens without distinction of race, creed or sex," and to "guarantee
full freedom of conscience (and) worship."

Restrictive bill passes in Russian legislature

MOSCOW (BP)--A Russian Orthodox-backed law to restrict the free
practice of faith and limit missionary work sailed through two final
votes in Russia's legislature in late June. It soon will face action
by President Boris Yeltsin.
Orthodox leaders and nationalists proposed the bill as a surprise to
evangelicals in Russia and then quickly pushed it through. The last
vote, on June 23, was 330-8.
Evangelicals had been working with a legislative committee to help
frame a law that would appease Russians protesting cult activity but
not violate human rights under international agreements.
But they were shut out of the process as extremists revised the
proposed law, stripping religious groups of legal rights if they were
not registered with the Communist government 15 years ago. The
revision affords special rights to groups with a 50-year history and a
presence in half of Russia's regions and territories.
Depending on how officials interpret the law, it could affect the
witness of every faith except Russian Orthodoxy, Judaism, Buddhism and
Islam, human rights advocates say. It surely would impede much of the
evangelical activity that has developed since the breakup of the
Soviet Union and the fall of communism. It also would regulate any
church that refused to register during Soviet days and operated
underground.
Further, the bill would eliminate missionary activity except as
approved by religious groups with legal rights. And it would curtail
the activities of many groups without legal rights, unless they get
permission from local government overseers. Evangelicals, of course,
fear their overseers could be hostile Orthodox leaders, non-Christian
religious leaders or even atheists.
In principle, the bill reverses the religious freedom won in Soviet
Russia just before the country embraced democracy in 1991.
It's unclear whether Yeltsin will veto the law, and if he does,
whether the legislature will override his veto. Some analysts say
Yeltsin is less likely to stand against this law than he was a similar
one passed in 1993, which died later that year when he dismissed
parliament.
"This is not the first time the Orthodox Church has postured itself to
move in an effective way against (other) religions," said Danny
Panter, who leads Southern Baptist International Mission Board work in
Russia and other former Soviet republics.
The organization of International Mission Board missionaries in
Russia, which owns property there, has enjoyed status as a legal
entity since 1993. But its work could be affected under a combination
of the 50-year and 15-year clauses in the bill. Exactly how those
rules could -- or would -- be applied is anyone's guess, human rights
analysts say.
Fully informed, International Mission Board missionaries nonetheless
remain positive, said Panter. "We do not feel threatened in any way.
We know our God is more powerful than any law any legislature could
pass. The game isn't over yet, that's for sure."
The board has scattered 46 mission workers throughout the country,
from St. Petersburg in East Europe to the Far East near the Pacific
Ocean. Through ministries in evangelism, discipleship and church
starting, they work closely with Russian Baptists. "We're linked with
them, and they appreciate us," Panter said. "And we appreciate them."
Missionaries consider Russia still a largely untapped harvest field,
where scores are responding to the gospel daily. "We're on Satan's
territory, and we're giving him such a hard struggle that he wants us
out of there," Panter said. "But we're depending on the Lord."

agree that televangelist bilk many out of much money every year and
they will have to answer for what they have done.
I do not see in the Bible anywhere any mentioning of getting money
from the faithful for "prayer cloths" , special prayers and healings,
study guides, retirement condos etc. and all the other schemes to
separate the "faithful" from their means of living. If this hacks any
of the "Christian" community off then it is time that you all received
a wake up call too!

Obviously the Christian tourist trade os veru important to the

Actually, I used to enjoy the Christian network. They used to
broadcast nice cartoons for my kid to watch on Saturday morninga
when there is little ISraeli television broadcastinig. Besides
the Christian stuff, they also ran reruns of old family oriented
TV shows from the 1950's, like Lassie and Roy Rogers, and all of
that great stuff from my youth. So my kid enjoyed seeing it in
the ME where that kind of fare is a novelty.

Well, I'll tell you, lots of Jews (including myself) when they

again" and then a few years later realize that the goy still

Dear Brethren,
Quite interesting posting. First of all the person who put the original
article does not know that a Jew cannot be born. A Jew is one who is
inwardly of the heart and not outwardly of the circumcision of flesh.
Outwardly Jews break their covenant with Abraham and become not only
unfaithful to him but they also become anti-semitic. Such outwardly Jews
are called "tares" in the Parable of Wheat and Tares. That was also the
reason why Jesus took a Virgin Birth among the people of Judah tribe for
they had become "unfaithful" to Abraham and thus the tares.
Similarly, Hindu, Sikh, Christian, etc. of the flesh or appearances are
"tares", best termed as fanatics and like the Jews of flesh they will also
die in the ensuing wars. Those who are religious of the heart and have
covenant with their forefathers will survive.
Thus Saul was a Roman subject of a certain(?) tribe. Do you know his
tribe please?

These groups now claim they are Israelites, the chosen race. There are

to be Christian are noted for lack of reading comprehension. I have
seen them quote from "Rabbi Baba Metzia." I have seen them claim that
"goyim" means cattle.

Sounds like you are inventing History. If I was Goy/Cattle and I read
that book I would conclude that Judaism must be destroyed. I therefore

Actually, Adam looks more like adamah = soil. Try reading the second
chapter of Genesis if you don't get the connection.
Adam does resemble "red", so red soil would make some sense. There
is no indication of "blood" or "face" in the name. OTOH Edom comes directly
from the word for red. By your verbal gyrations, does that mean that
whites are from Edom? ;)
btw Do you have an actual reference for the concordance? You know,
the complete reference for the book along w/ the page that this
information is supposedly on. This will let me know if you
