Hi everyone!
My fiance and I applied for the I-129 in April- the company I was
working for (For 5 years) closed down in June. I started doing side
work (tutoring, teaching art classes, etc) earlier this year bc I
thought they may close- now it has become my full time job. I have
been keeping records of what I have made so I can file it as personal
income on next year's taxes. My question is- what is a "Report of
Commercial Rating Concern"? I am new to this self employed stuff and I
have no idea what this is.
I make enough from the business to meet the 125% and I also have my
sister and her hubby willing to file on our behalf as co-sponsers if
there is any question about my meeting the requirement (last year was
a bad financial year bc of slow time at the company I worked for- I
only made $9500- the 2 years previous to that were very good though).
Can anyone else in the same boat help me or give me advice? I am
terribly worried that this will hinder us when he goes for his
consulate interview in London.

Thank you in advance!!

A "commercial rating concern" is an organization like Dun & Bradstreet
(and there are a host of industry specific ones) that generally reaches
an opinion about a business' financial standing by reviewing the
publicly available/reported to its membership information about a
business and publishes opinions. Very few businesses that have not been
established a very long time have a commercial rating. If you meet the
financial threshholds for the I-134 and I-864 you will be fine.
