A couple of years ago I received from a distant relative LDS pedigree
charts showing descent from Edward III and armiger ancestors. LDS
charts are not very reliable, and so I hope that more expert
genealogists will verify the lineages below and let me know what they
think. All corrections and additions are welcome.

Dates and places are given as in the LDS pedigree charts. Dates are
approximative. As you'll notice in a couple of cases, the dates cannot
possibly be right, but they are all I have at present.

Line of descent 1:

Line of descent 4

This is a less known line, I suppose, and what intrigues me especially
is the generation-wide gap after Nicholas Billing + Agnes Gilbert.

1. Elias Helias Giffard, 1145 (Brimesfield), - 1190
+ Maud Fitzharding de Berkeley, 1160 (Brimesfield)
2. Osbert G., 1180 (Brimesfield) - 1237

+ Elizabeth Strong, 1564
14. William B., 1601/1604 (Taunton)
+ Mary, 1605 (Taunton)

That's it! As I said, all comments are welcome, including those
destroying these lines of descent. And who knows, maybe the above
information may help some of you.

Many thanks for reading through these and helping me.

Sir William Awbrey born Abt 1583 in Llanelieu, Breconshire, Wales died 1631.
Sir William wife was Elizabeth Johns "Sir William had three sons: Henry,
John, and Richard that came to America. They settled in Westmoreland and
Rappahannock Counties, Virginia.

"Elizabeth Johns who married Sir William Awbrey was descended on both sides
from the Berkeley family. This family descends many different ways from
Charlemagne, as well as the majority of the early Norman kings of England.
This line would apply to you as you are a descendant of John Awbrey Sr., a
son of Sir William Awbrey and Elizabeth Johns. This line would not apply to
the other Awbrey branches, such as the group that immigrated to
Pennsylvania, or the branch that continued to reside in England as Baronets
of Llantrithydd. The Virginia Awbreys are the only ones descended from
Elizabeth Johns."

Can any help me with Berkeley family and Johns too

Dear LCA,
Line 1, # 10:
Walter PALMER's parents are UNKNOWN. They were NOT John Palmer and Elizabeth Verney of Somerset, England. This myth has been disproved.
Rebecca Short immigrated in 1633, she was not born in Massachusetts.
Further, there is NO evidence to show that Abraham Palmer, a merchant from London, England, who with his wife, Grace, immigrated in 1630, was his brother.
I don't know who you are but I hope I was not the distant relative who sent you the Walter Palmer stuff! Are you a descendant of his?
Yours truly,
David

G. Andrews Moriarty did much work on the Giffards of Twyford and their
ancestry and descendancy.

Snipped

His work would verify #1 through #8. See New England Register vols. 74
and 75. Only Lucy Morteyne was born a Morteyne.

So you would have to verify that #9 was son of #8 couple and thence
downward.
