Hi,

I would like to install Windows XP (for a small test) on a PC, which does
not meet the Windows XP memory criteria (>= 64 MB). Is there a way, like in
Windows 95, to instruct the setup program not to check for the memory?

Thanks,

1. Copy the Txtsetup.sif and Dosnet.inf files to a temporary folder.

2. Edit the Txtsetup.sif file. Change the value of RequiredMemory to match
the following text:

RequiredMemory = 33030144

3. Edit the Dosnet.inf file. Change the value of MinimumMemory to match the
following text:

MinimumMemory = 33030144

4. From a command prompt, type the following command to install Windows XP:

winnt32 /m:C:\<Nameoftempdirecory>

where <Nameoftempdirecory> is the name of the temporary folder that you
created in step 1.
