MED: Questions about a supplement from The Synergy Group

I have a cousin who has done well with a supplement called Synergy. He has
a different illness but it is supposed to help CFS/FMS. Actually, it is
supposed to help practically every illness under the sun! That is why
I am so skeptical.
Anyway, I just would like to hear any information, pro or con, or even
theories about why it would work or would not work. The contents are
listed below. I'm already taking supplements with many of these items.
By the way, cost for a typical adult dosage is $117.96 US per month.
The web site is www.truehope.com. Yes, it does have a lot of claims
that look dubious. I'm not sure why I'm even asking you all what you
think, but perhaps there is something to this. I'm trying to keep an
open mind.
A single dose has the following ingredients. An adult is supposed to
take 4 doses per day, so multiply by 4 to see daily amount.

Isn't that one of the over the counter diet drugs? Does give some energy
stimulant but a negative kind. Might as well have a coupla of cups of
coffee...

Sorry about the format. I didn't realize the original
table had tabs. When the tabs were converted to spaces
(I guess the listserv software did that?) the columns
got out of alignment.

No, you're thinking of phenylpropanolamine Hcl... it used to be used as
the decongestant in many sinus/allergy/hay fever meds... still is found in
some. It's the decongestant I can take without side effects. When I asked
a pharmacist if I could buy it separately from anything else, he told me to
just buy the diet pills... it's used there because it seems to affect many
people's appetites. But that's the cheapest way to buy this decongestant.
