TOGETHER DATING SERVICE EXPOSED BY DATELINE NBC ON TAX DAY

In a Dateline NBC program devoted primarily to fraud
and to other misconduct by Together Dating Service on April 15,
1997, Jane Pauley, Stone Phillips and Victoria Corderi reported
on false claims of 75 percent "success" rates (based explicitly
on permanent relationships or marriage within 18 months), on
approval of enrollments by a self-confessed batterer and by an
obviously brain-damaged man whose rages were reported as
presenting dangers to women, and on numerous other wrongful
acts, together with undercover camera footage showing Together
sales people both making the bogus claims and also approving the
self-confessed criminal batterer (as well as promising to keep
this from its female customers).

The self-styled "Principals" of the Together Dating Service chain
-- Brian Pappas and Jeffrey Pappas -- declined to be interviewed
on camera, but were repeatedly shown by NBC from their various
"informercial" pitches.

This program was the result of an investigation of over 15 months
by Dateline NBC, and is one of several begun by major news
organizations since the nationally-syndicated Crusaders program
quoted Arkansas' Attorney General as stating that "Together is a
sham operation" in early 1995, including ABC's 20/20 and CBS'
48 Hours.

If you have additional information of frauds or other
misconduct by Together Dating Service, please provide all same
to Victims Together at Box 99, Kirkland, WA 98083 or to the
Association of Ethical Matchmakers at a...@cupidnet.com.
