Corruption of databases on NetWare has been a _very_ long continues saga.

Novell is hit by NDS and GroupWise database corruption. Pervasive is plauged
with status 2...

Now it seems that Novell has found a hardware compatibility problem on
NetWare 5.0 and 5.1. The latest information on Novell Support is that they
have made an FTF available for an issue on servers running PIII. An
accelerated memcopy is using some MMX registers that may result in
corruption because the registers are not saved correctly on thread switches.

I sure hope this will fix all the problems, both NDS/GW and Pervasive!

Maybe there's still hope for NetWare, even if it takes years for Novell to
fix buggs, and get a usable product. Just me getting realy tired of our
weekly support calls about status 2 and end users having to patch NetWare,
patch P.SQL and editing BTI.CFG to get a runnable system. And then there is
all the client issues...

Can you post the TID# from Novell for easier searching? How about the FTF name?

Guess Jesper was referring to TID 2958366. Filename of patch is
os5ft2a.exe.
