Can anyone help me please as I am about to scream. When I record video from
my computer it is black and white yet the picture on the tv from the
computer is colour. I use scart on av1 (live in the uk) Scart is adapter
sort which has audio in and a s-video in. I am using geforce2 ti and the vcr
is a toshiba v-241uk model. I think it is the vcr as when I use my daughters
hitachi vcr it records ok. I have tried settings to no avail. Is there
anything that I have not tried or is it a case of take the vcr back as it is
unable to record in colour. I have tried just recording the desktop but it
still plays b+w

TIA

Sound like your sending a NTSC signal to a PAL recorder

Sounds like only the luminance information is not getting to the computer.
At least that is what I would say if it were a NTSC system. Maybe S-Video
is independent of the video standard. If so, then you don't have the
chrominance channel connected.

Of course it could just be that you're sending a SVideo signal to an RGB
only device.

How would I know if its an RGB only device. What bugs me is that it copies
fine an a hitachi model but not my toshiba.
