s,
KT provided you with the
"work-around" you requested.
Go for it if you enjoy the
challenge of "it's the principal..."
or,
why not just invest the same amount
of time and energy in learning how to accomplish the same goal without the
"training wheels" of an aol or msn?
If you'll spend a few minutes
reviewing posts on this NG you'll see that "has anyone done this before?" really
is a pretty silly question...it's been asked and answered literally hundreds of
times.
More importantly, some (a minority
no doubt) have gleened the larger truth by being involved in the process - with
any luck you will be one of those.
msnATE is an AOL wannabee - plain
and simple.
If you want "training wheels" -
that's fine, it's your decision, but at least be smart about it and go with the
leader.
When it comes to training wheels
for newbies - aol is the hands down pro in the field. They've done it since day
one and they've gotten pretty good at what they do.
msn looked down their nose at aol
for years (as did, and still do, the msn shills to this day).
Somewhere along the line (might
have had something to do with the fact that aol made money and msn lost money
year after year) the softies decided to emulate aol's business model...hence the
'aol wannabee'.
If it doesn't tell you something
that msn is still losing money, that they (msn) still can't figure out the
simpliest of issues (import favorites...make a webcam work...etc...etc) - it
should.
Or....stick with a loser because
you got a "two years free" deal, or comcast told you "free msn", or whatever-
choice is yours
