Hi,
We have Crystal Reports 7.0.0.0. I would like to know how to integrate
crystal reports with java on unix and which version of crystal reports
should we use to publish reports on the web.

In article <8jvnkh$f35$1...@nnrp1.deja.com>,

Hi,

you cannot use the Web Report Server from Seagate Software on Unix
because it runs only on a Win32 platform.

To run your reports that you have designed with Seagate Crystal Reports
platform independently (e.g. on Unix) then you can use the report
engine i-net Crystal-Clear(TM).
i-net Crystal-Clear(TM) is a report engine for .rpt files (Crystal
Report files) that is written entirely in the Java™ programming
language.

You can integrate i-net Crystal-Clear(TM) in your java application,
applet or servlet. So you can view and print your rpt files in a java
application.

You can use the Seagate Crystal Reports Designer 7.0 to design your
reports and
you need i-net Crystal-Clear(TM) at runtime to execute your report on
every platform (with a JDK 1.1.x or higher compatible JavaVM) and on
the most web server (if you do not have a java standalone application).

i-net Crystal-Clear(TM) use JDBC drivers to connect to the database.
With i-net Crystal-Clear(TM) you can use another database driver and/or
another database at runtime as at design time.

More information about i-net Crystal-Clear(TM) and a test version for
free you can find at:
http://www.inetsoftware.de/English/produkte/crystalclear/Default.htm.

If you have questions to i-net Crystal-Clear(TM) then you can send
these to the support newsgroup for i-net Crystal-Clear(TM):
