Finally it's here! The legendary Rome 2001 interview part I. The sound is
crystal clear and Bob's talking is up front, like he's sitting next to you,
chatting to you and kidding you . It's terrific. What a guy, kind, nice and
funny....
This is a legal release from The Netherlands.

BOB DYLAN THE ROME 2001 INTERVIEW CD (real silver, factory pressed)

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, PLEASE WELCOME, COLUMBIA RECORDING ARTIST
BOB DYLAN

During the recent Bob Dylan Never Ending Tour, the faithful fan loves the
music but is once again disappointed with Dylan's almost total communication
through his music. He hardly speaks at all about his songs or life. You sit
in awe of one of the world's few authentic living legends, intently enjoying
the musical performance. You just want Dylan to share more of himself than
the music, but your wait is futile. You read the few interviews of the past,
vainly attempting to understand the man and his music. If you had your
choice, you'd like to hear Dylan personally express his thoughts and
feelings behind the music. That opportunity is here now!
THE ROME 2001 INTERVIEW presents Dylan personally revealing much of what you
always wanted to know. On July 21, 2001 eleven journalists from all over
Europe were invited to Rome for a comprehensive interview with Bob Dylan on
his life and musical journey. The morning session offered reporters the
opportunity of listening to the just completed Dylan LOVE AND THEFT project.
The afternoon press conference took place in two sessions divided by a
Dylan-break and accompanied by a distinct change of mood in the second part
of the interview. The result is a pair of 60 minute, CD releases; THE ROME
2001 INTERVIEW part I and the forthcoming, THE ROME 2001 INTERVIEW part II.
These CD's place you almost in the room, up close and personal with Bob
Dylan.
Soon you'll discover this is one of the very few moments in Dylan's lifetime
when he really wants to communicate with you! Not simply reading some
article or surfing the internet, but you are present in the same room with
Dylan. He answers the questions you've always wondered about. Nothing is
missing. You feel Dylan's apprehension of journalists, hear his laughing and
sense more about the man than just what his words communicate. It is ALL you
hoped for and more. No effort or expense has been spared to make this the
most realistic encounter you are likely to ever experience with a living
legend. On the interview's original master, you could barely hear the
journalists' questions. Through an expensive process of noise reduction and
re-mastering you now can clearly hear all the questions and Dylan's answers
are right up front.
THE ROME 2001 INTERVIEW part I gives you the chance to hear him discuss an
assortment of subjects (see pic). Dylan's break from the interview ends the
first CD's 60 minute session.

His return after the break starts the second hour on part II. ROME 2001
INTERVIEW part II. It is soon apparent that a new, more relaxed Dylan has
returned to the interview. He emerges much more comfortable with the
journalists during this second hour. (This second CD actually takes the tone
of a conversation among friends) This conversation will soon be released as
THE ROME 2001 INTERVIEW part II containing almost another hour of Dylan
talking with you. You definitely don't want to miss that one either!

I'm almost as excited about this as Love and Theft ... no kidding. If anything
can compare with listening to Dylan sing, it's hearing him talk. I hope this
thing becomes available soon.
