Are you interested in cataloging your site's contents or
indexing web resources using W3C Resource Description Framework?
Then join the discussion here on netscape.public.dev.rdf!

Netscape Navigator is leading the way in support for RDF. Nav 4.06
and later use RDF to offer the "What's Related" feature which suggests
sites related to the one you're viewing. netscape.public.dev.rdf
provides a forum on DevEdge Online to discuss the use of W3C
Resource Description Framework.

Want to get more involved? Become the DevEdge RDF Champion!
DevEdge Champions monitor a newsgroup and maintain its FAQ.
In return, they get a free CD every quarter packed with all of
Netscape's client, server, and developer tools products--including
high-end products like the Netscape Application Server! Want to
be the netscape.public.dev.rdf newsgroup champion? Submit your
application at http://developer.netscape.com/support/faqs/champions/overview.html
and help evangelize W3C RDF development to the world!

Here are the answers to some common questions:

1) "How do the DevEdge newsgroups relate to the mozilla.org newsgroups?"

The mozilla.org newsgroups are for dicussion about the design and
development of the next generation of the Navigator browser itself.
If you want to participate in designing, developing, testing, debugging,
and documenting Navigator 5 to produce the smallest, fastest, most
standards-compliant browser ever, get involved at mozilla.org!

The DevEdge newsgroups are for web site and application developers
who are building on top of the APIs of Netscape products such as the
Navigator browser. They are the place to discuss the *use* of
technologies like RDF for site and application development.

Please do not submit developer support questions to the mozilla.org
newsgroups; that's not what they're for, and questions will be referred
back to the DevEdge newsgroups, which will mean you'll get a response
more slowly, if at all. Please post developer support questions directly
to the DevEdge newsgroups; other developers may know
the answer to your question and respond. If you don't get an answer,
or if you want a guaranteed response, become a DevEdge member at
http://developer.netscape.com/support/index.html. This enables you
to submit developer support questions to Netscape's Developer
Support Engineers on a per-incident basis for a guaranteed response.

2) "Which standards will the Navigator 5 browser support?"

See the Gecko FAQ at http://www.mozilla.org/newlayout/faq.html
and the Netscape Standards Challenge at
http://home.netscape.com/browsers/future/standards.html

3) "Where can I learn more about the Gecko layout engine
which enables Navigator 5's support for standards?"

See the NGLayout/Gecko home page on mozilla.org at
http://www.mozilla.org/newlayout/

4) "I want my web site to be compatible with Navigator 5 when it's
released. Where can I download a copy of Navigator 5 to test my
site on it?"

See the Gecko Developer Preview page on DevEdge Online at
http://developer.netscape.com/software/communicator/ngl/index.html

5) "I've tested a web page on AppRunner (the prototype of Nav5)
and think I've found a bug. How do I submit a bug report?"

Nav5 bug reports should be submitted at http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/
We welcome all bug reports; when in doubt, please submit a report.
If you have the time, you can help speed the reproduction and
fixing of your bug--and the improvement of Nav5!--by doing the
following things, but if you're in a hurry and can't, please just file the
bug anyway:

a) Please check the page's markup and code. Is there a typo or
bug in the page itself?
b) Please glance at the known bugs lists at http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/
to see if the bug's already known and often reported.
(These will be available from early June.)
c) Please check the Bugzilla database to see if the bug's been
reported already: http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/query.cgi

6) "Where else can I learn more about RDF?"

Thanks for your interest in using and supporting W3C standards!

Sincerely,
