Segun los LINUXNISTAS [y mas los izquierdistas de este foro] no existe
problema de seguridad ni virus para UNIX ni para LINUX... esa es la
mentira mas grande del mundo... cierto, para poder infectar una
computadora de UNIX o de LINUX, generalmente se puede hacer cuando la
persona ROOT (el administrador del sistema) esta logged-in... si un
usuario comun esta logged-in, el chance de que se pueda infectar con
un virus es menor.

Por esa razon, el sistema de LINUX no es [tan] susceptible a una
infeccion viral como lo es DOS, MACOS y WINDOWS... ademas, porque en
la plataforma de UNIX (de la cual se deriba LINUX) controles de
seguridad es la parte fundamental del sistema, pero eso no quiere
decir que estos sistemas no se puedan infectar con un virus, un
trojan, o un gusano y no de los de Miami :-)

De acuerdo a http://www.linuxdoc.org existen varios programas
anti-virus para UNIX y LINUX por lo mas arriba expresado... estamos de
acuerdo que la plataforma de UNIX es mas segura y estable que la
plataforma de WINDOWS... eso lo saben hasta los chinos de Bonao...
pero, decir que WINDOWS es una basura comparado a UNIX creo que solo
un tarao puede decir tal cosa... los dos sistemas tienen sus cosas
buenas y sus cosas malas... ningun sistema es perfecto... por eso es
que a diario publican patches de seguridad, etc. para ambos.

A pesar de que me la paso experimentando con las dos plataformas,
hasta el presente no he encontrado razon alguna para "botar" a WINDOWS
y solo usar a LINUX... como dije mas arriba, los dos sistemas tienen
sus cosas buenas y sus cosas malas... en termino general, para
aquellos que no le interesa "experimentar" con computadoras, WINDOWS
es mas facil de aprender, implementar y de usar... por eso es el
sistema preferido alrededor del mundo... no todos somos "techies" ni
tampoco experimentadores de computadoras.

En resumen, como he dicho en reiterada ocasiones, a LINUX todavia le
falta mucho para poderse "adueñar" de todas la computadoras en los
hogares y en las oficinas... quizas algun dia suceda, pero de aqui a
eso le nacera cola al sapo y pelos a las ranas.

una cosa es que alguien por su falta de experiencia o exceso de confianza
ejecute un script que te instale un virus en tu PC con linux como ROOT
(que a eso es que tratas de referirte) y otra cosa es un CODIGO ROJO que
actúa a distancia y sin intervención del perjudicado.... y peor aún que
microsoft te diga que si ya te contaminaste solo te queda reinstalar el
sistema como si eso es tan simple en algunos casos...

La mayoría de los creadores de virus han sido generosos, muchos
simplemente tratan de enviar su virus a la mayor cantidad de usuarios,
otros como el codigo rojo trata de contaminar y luejo joder a la direccion
de internet de la casa blanca........ pero un día de estos vendrá algunos
que simplemente tomará la red de alguna compañía corriendo en w95, w98,
w2000 y no quedará nada para seguir trabajando....

A medida que la internet siga creciendo (algunos calculan en 4% el acceso
en america latina) la necesidad de seguridad (no detección de virus, eso
es un juego que sólo le ha dejado millones a symantec y norton) moverá a
mucha gente hacia sistemas operativos seguros (y verdaderos). Detectar
virus es una cosa, se basa en buscar algo conocido, y un sistema operativo
con seguridad es otra: se basa en imperdir acceso no autorizado al
sistema. Es básicamente un función del sistema operativo, no de
aplicaciones de terceros.... y por algún motivo que está fuera de mi
comprensión microsoft no tiene interés en mejorar la seguridad de sus
sistemas operativos. Lo del código rojo es ridiculo...


Ahí tienes una buena lista de antivirus, si los revisas te daras cuenta
que la misión principal de estos programas es revisar los archivos en
busca de virus que afectan a los usuarios de windows...
