Hi! I'm the guy who posted the first of the messages here looking for
electronic-brokerage clearing solutions. I, and everyone who followed up
or started related threads, did this as a prank just to keep ourselves
amused.

We did have a rollicking good time, and it was at your expense. Our aim
was to confuse, not to insult; come read the FAQ for our group,
alt.shenanigans, and you'll see that we're just adorable kooks, not
mean-spirited creeps. Well, some of us are more adorable than others, but
I'm sure we'll all be laughing about this years from now.

Oh, if you visit alt.shenanigans and read the threads in which we planned
this silliness and then revelled in your confusion, you will find some
comments disparaging of your collective sanity. Don't let that bother you;
you must realize that the extraordinarily dense jargon in which y'all post
does give the impression of dementia.

You know, I feel a lot of love in this room.

This is obviously just a prank; there is no such group as
alt.shenanigans. Mr. Wolff, you are a severely Suppressive Person--

You are obviously new around here. `alt.shenanigans' is actually
a secret code name for alt.conspiracy, where the cryptoanarchists
discuss (using a secret code) their diabolical plans to take over
the net. I thought everybody knew this.
