We are a group of retired Marines and Soldiers researching abuse of
the military by Household Retail Services (HRS) and Best Buy Stores,
CompUSA, and others that use HRS as their in store financing or credit
card issuer. We already have proof of trends, but we need your
reports.

Background:

During an Army training class on financial management, when at least
one person referred to a missing billing from HRS-Bestbuy in the final
month of a 1 year interest free financing contract, other individuals
came forth with supporting information relative to similar
circumstances and proven actions or lack of action which suggests that
the practice may have injured or attempted to injure other individuals
in a similar manner.

History:

In some cases the purchaser was told that the apartment number was
unknown in month 12, wherein the apartment number was included on the
bills in months 1 - 11. In some cases the purchaser was not given a
reason. In some or all cases the purchaser could not make a payment at
the store where the purchase was made, nor could the purchaser make a
payment at a local office of Household Finance.

In cases where the purchaser called HRS and made a payment over the
phone the purchaser was charged an additional fee for doing so. In
some cases the purchaser was told that the fee was for a wire
transfer, where in reality the payment was made via simple ACH debit.

IF YOU FAILED TO RECEIVE YOUR STATEMENT FOR THE MONTH AFTER WHICH YOU
WOULD BE REQUIRED TO PAY INTEREST ON THE FULL AMOUNT FINANCED OR if
you were deployed and were injured financially by Household, please
let us know.

About Us:

We are not lawyers, and we are non-profit. We get very defensive when
civilian companies take advantage of the military. We have researched
this for over 16 months, and have identified trends about HRS. We
received reports from all branches of service. We are building a case
which we will present to the FTC.
