Wal-mart announced it plans to launch a new line of children's and baby
apparal in partnership with McDonald's.

The new McKids and McBaby lines will be available exclusively at the 2200
Wal-Mart superstores within a few weeks.

It did mention that the partnership is an unlikely one, and that the apparel
business had a very poor Christmas season.

Wal-Mart, McDonald's team on new children's wear

Birmingham ALA. (Reuter) - Wal-Mart Stores Inc and McDonald's Corp. have
introduced two lines of children's clothing and accessories, McBaby and McKids.

The children's wear will be available in Wal-Mart stores and Wal-Mart
Superstores beginning Monday.

The McKids line includes casual apparel, hosiery, shoes, and hair accessories
for infants up to 24 months.

All clothes are made from 100 % cotton.

Each item will be identified by a McKids Nd McBaby hang tag which is color
coded by size. The hang tag has the the tagline "Always Quality, Always Fun".

McDonald's restaurants are found in more than 700 Wal-Mart stores nationwide.
