for those interested:

i have been playing with the "Listenup" plugin which is available
for the PowerMac only, since it uses plaintalk for the voice recognition.
anyway, i have gotten it to work with my web pages and its
really neat, but, when the audible is given with Netscape's Atlas pr2,
my machine crashes like swiss clockwork, but when i use
Microsoft's IE 2.0 (final) it works like a charm.

for posterity my system config follows:
ppc 7500 (16 ram)
sys 7.5.3
ot 1.1
Speech recognition 1.5b6
ram doubler 1.6.1
speed doubler 1.1
(and a million other extensions against my will)

i have disabled the use of the plugin all together for now while
i try to figure out what i want to do about this because i have two
versions of my web pages. one simple and the other high tech.
unfortunately the tech version uses frames and i wanted to
use the "Listenup" plugin there, but Atlas can't cope with the plugin
and IE can't cope with frames.

i have not tried this with 2.01 though and would like to here
if anyone else has gotten things to work with it.

Atlas has a new plugin, "Liveaudio" that conflicts with a lot of other
plugins. I'd advise taking it out of the plugin folder,
