Can the original Independence War be run in full 3D on a GeForce card? I
don't want to run it in software mode if I don't have to. Please point the
way to any links that may help, or just let me know what I could do. Perhaps
alter an .ini file? Thanks.

As far as I know, 3D hardware support in I-War was only for voodoo 1 video
cards, I don't think there is any way to run it on a D3D card.

(There are unified drivers which will run Glide software on Nvidia cards,
but ususally these drivers were for specific programs, and I don't know if
there were any written for the GeForce cards.)

Glide wrappers. Check www.google.com and do a search for glide
wrappers in the .space-sim group. This was discussed a bit a while
back.

I believe comments from those that used software mode that it wasn't
as good as a video card that can handle Glide but it was still very
nice.

You might want to try Dreadnought's web site, which has loads of tips
for this kind of thing.
