I know this is not a perfect security practise, but local admin to
the Smoothwall firewall I'm setting up is not possible and I would
like to be able to SSH to it from outside. What do I need to do
to allow this? Do I have to add an ipchains command to the startup
sequence, or does one of the web admin page options allow me to
turn this on? (ssh is enabled and I can connect from the internal
green interface, but not from outside).

ssh encryption and password protection is acceptable to me. I don't
want to open up the web admin interface, just ssh sessions.

thanks

Graham
PS I did check all the docs I could find first. If this question
is answered somewhere it's not obvious to me.

Using the Web Admin interface, allow external service access for TCP
on Port 222.
