Wouldn't it be great if the senate and the house
members actually spent all of their time at home in
their community dealing with their community issues
rather than in DC? In the age of the internet, they
could debate the laws using HyperNews and follow and debate
many concurrent threads, getting to the root of the
issues much more quickly and thoroughly; They can build,
similar to the constitution, a 'real' living document; in one fell
swoop, they will have diluted the ability for lobbyists
to influence the country as it costs 1000 times as much
to fly to all 50 states and lobby every senator and
comgressman for your special interest.The private sector
already knows about distributed workflow and video conferencing
and process. You could improve the efficiency of the government
to unprecedented levels, making it a model for private
business, by *leading the way by example into the Information Age*!!!
