Matt, my friend, you really need to get out more.
<chuckles>

Sadly, I know some people who'd actually quite happily have that as a proper
calende. They're not gay either.
I always rememeber Jeremy Bentham issuing dire warnings to young Who fans about
the perils of being surrounded by female Blake's Seven fans at the One Tun.
Poor man. It happened to him, you know...
You think that pic at the start of The Key To Time is from a younger relative?
It was done by him after a particulary scary encounter with "Avon's Angels".
He was a changed man, believe me...

*snerk* as a relatively new B7 fan, I am not surprised... but you should see
some of the things the fans can produce. Quite amazing. Just take a look at this
site, some funny Xmas things there:

And somehow, hearing all these stories, it doesn't surprise me anymore that I
became such a rabid B7/Avon fan this summer. Kind of a natural progress of
ever-deepening perversity, or something.

I'm sort've a newbie, but not completely. I've lurked here on a very

Hmm. I must have been drinking, because after following that link to the
David Bowie song, I went and did this.

"The Rise and Fall of Pertwee Stardust and the Soldiers From Kent":

(Oh!

Oooh Yeah!)

Pertwee played the doc,
Doin' stuff with Yates and Benton,
Those chaps from UNIT. He played it quite straight,
If you don't count the frills - his general taste in clothes.
Or going "AIY!" a lot.

Pertwee really sang,
Lullabies to great big monsters,
And I don't mean Jo Grant. He could send them to sleep,
Or just get chased all day, though to the audience,
Those were much the same thing.

But where was the TARDIS?
Well, the Doc tried to fix it good.
But nasty Time Lords exiled him,
So he bitched about his race and had a rubbery face.

(Oow!

Mm.)

Pertwee knew the Brig,
Rock hard man who wore an eyepatch,
And strutted about, and often did shout,
And pointed his gun. He shot it quite a bit,
But a target never hit.

Drivin' round in his "Bessie", Pertwee stopped lots of aliens, (ah!)
Like a Mulder or Scully.
Radiation killed the Doc, it was a hell of a shock.

(Oh yeah!)

Oh, Pertwee played the Do-o-oc.

Merry Christmas, rec.arts.drwho.

Don't worry, I have backed the book up to tape, so that I can start my
next one with Genesis of the Time Lords and end with a big Revelation.
On the down side, although I'm allowed a higher wordcount BBC Books
tell me it can't run to more than six hundred and sixty-six pages. On
the plus side, sales are likely to increase because they're going to
put a copy in every hotel room in North America.

I was going to base it on a story I vaguely remembered called "Under a
Bridge with Dick and Harry from Doctor Who", in which a couple of
minor UNIT officers start off fighting the Android Autons and end up
defeating a joint force of Yeti and Zygons. But I had to stop when it
was politely pointed out to me that I was actually ripping off the
"Unabridged Dictionary of Doctor Who".

Hope this helps.

Too stressed, one of the most demanding courses in Graphic Design *ever*. Too
much work, half of our class is getting nervous breakdowns thanks to stress and
money running out. Lovely. *Not*. Fucking horrible. Don't know if I'll live long
enough to get my BA. Honestly, the course demands far more work than a job in
the design industry because you have to document everything you're doing/all of
your progress in very time&money-consuming, lavishly illustrated ways. I
wouldn't be fucking surprised if they'd want everyone to make a wall-sized oil
painting of "what were you thinking when sitting on the bog on Tuesday morning?"
in one day, for reasons completely irrelevant to the main project... anyway.
Enough of that, I'm on holiday!:P

> (Oh, and could I have copies of the illustrations you did for Intyference -

Argh, probably scattered to the four winds. No idea where they are, sorry. If I
ever have the time, I'll upload them onto my main website:

Ditto. And here everyone was saying that Krizu was some madwoman from
the cold nordic lands. (Well she is, but in the GOOD way.)

And yet it turns out that she's barely back a day when Matt Marshall
proves to be about 45% barmier than she is, without the excuse of
having dated Cardinal Zorak. :)

(Mind you, I'm not sure if the photomanipulation [dear god, please let
it be a faux photo!] of Colin Baker in naughty corsettes is any more
or less damaging an image than Avon carrying an oversized fluffy
bunny. I mean really.)

You really *are* a newbie, aren't you:)?

There isn't a link to the larger picture anymore on Rexfeatures, but here is a
thumbnail, amongst others... perhaps it's for the best!

Oh. Dear. God.

If I didn't need a shower before, then I do now.

A bit like you then? ; ) Possibly, I'm a bit too conventional for her. How
does she feel about guys who're fairly quiet in real life? Damn it, I'm
beginning to pick at things now 'cos I always get nervous about breaking the
ice. I'm such bloody wimp at times.

Need time to think.

Well, she's got a public livejournal here:
http://www.livejournal.com/users/viccy

So there you go...

Be careful, then... observe her livejournal, and her webpage
(Viccy's), before you make any naughty moves towards her;)... She's
Finnish, though, and weren't you British? Tsk tsk...;)

I still am British, I think... I'm really not sure how I'm gonna approach
this, and I'm still on the verge of chickening out. I've read her December
journal, but I'm not sure I really understand anything much about her
properly. Mind you, I did read one of her slash stories -- Precious, I
think -- and it turned out to be rather good. Strange, I've always avoided
most slashy things...

I think I've worked out that you're Snowgrouse, mind. No-one else would have
the following bio:

"I don't quite know what to say. Except that you're dealing with a rather
peculiar individual, so please do take care:)"

; )

PS -- Any extra advice you could offer would be much appreciated...
