It's been a couple of months since we released the new version of Eudora,
so it's about time for some news from San Diego.

We've gotten a lot of requests for the Windows version. We're on schedule
to finish the beta test this month -- we'll be shipping the official
release in December. At the same time as the Windows release, we're
releasing an update for the Mac, 2.0.1. And oh, btw, we've got the sexy
t-shirts and coffee mugs we had at E-Mail World are for sale now,
too. Give us a call or send us e-mail if you want more info.

Judging by the flood of e-mail you like what we've been doing -- the new
features and our open-for-business support team are a real boon (Thank you
for all the letters!). In fact, we've discovered something we didn't
expect; we're selling a lot more single copies of Eudora than we
anticipated. Your response has been great -- "phenomenal" is more like it,
but this has forced us to re-examine how we're bringing Eudora to the
marketplace.

So that we can continue to provide the kind of customer support you expect
from us, and we expect from ourselves, we're going to adjust our prices.
Effective immediately the price for the 2nd thru the ninth user is coming
down to $45 per user from $50. We've also decided to lower the price of
the hard copy of the manual to $15 from $20 per copy, and the Quick
Reference Guide to $1.50 from $2.50.

This part is not so nice (but there is a Window of Opportunity): on Jan 1st
the cost of a single-user license will be raised to $65 from $50. The
single-user package includes a user manual, master floppy disk, the Quick
Reference Guide, and one year of free maintenance. We think it's still a
great deal, but if you've been thinking about buying a single copy, now's
the time.

As always, drop us a note with your suggestions and comments!

Thanks.
