FREE CASE TOOL OFFERING for EDUCATORS and RESEARCHERS
=====================================================

We have developed an information systems analysis and design method and
implemented it in a CASE tool suite. Since this effort is sponsored in part by
the National Science Foundation as well as some industrial corporations, we
would like to make the results available to the academic community at large.

The software file and the documentations, along with the related
publications, can be retrieved from this Web site (URL):

All information that is needed to understand and use the system is also
available from the home page.

The CASE tool suite contains a Data Flow Diagram module (concise but
complete), an IDEF0 drawing module, A Two-Stage Entity-Relationship (TSER)
module for database analysis and design, a Metadatabase creation module, and
ORACLE and dBase V schema generators. These modules are all integrated.
Additional modules are either being added or available in other versions of
the system. The TSER module supports entity-relationship and object-oriented
modeling as well as the particular TSER data and knowledge modeling. The
system has been tested and used for teaching and real-world projects in some
Information Systems/Computer Science classes at Rensselear, Laval University,
University of New Mexico, and Hong Kong University.
