Prolog, anyone?

There's a package called C-Prolog that has been used on a number of UNIX
systems. We had the tar file here, and I got it to work on the NeXT without
many problems. Just now I used archie to look for sites that might have it,
and what I found is given at the end of this; note that a couple of sites
appear to have NeXT patches.
Here's an extract from the C-Prolog manual (which is substantial). I include
this for general interest, and also just to have a chance to mention the names
of some old familiar systems I used as a grad student at Edinburgh (IMP, EMAS)
-- in fact, the Three Rivers PERQ, an attempt at a LISP workstation, was
crucial one winter for keeping our office warm!

This manual describes C-Prolog, a Prolog interpreter
written in C. C-Prolog was developed at EdCAAD, Dept. of
Architecture, University of Edinburgh, and is based on a
previous interpreter, written in IMP for the EMAS operating
system by Luis Damas of the Dept. of Computer Science,
University of Edinburgh. C-Prolog was designed for machines
with a large, uniform, address space, and assumes a pointer
cell 32 bits wide. At the time of writing, it has been
tested on VAX machines under the UNIX and VAX/VMS operating
systems, on the Sun workstation under 4.1/2 UNIX, and has
been ported with minor changes to other MC68000-based works-
tations and to the Three Rivers PERQ.
