RECIPE: Denver Chocolate Pudding

For the folks who went to Nashville, this is the chocolate dessert I
made on Saturday night. I promised the recipe to so many people I
decide to just post it.

Denver Chocolate Pudding

Melt together:
1 square baker's (unsweetened) chocolate
2 Tablespoons butter

Sift together in a bowl:
3/4 cup sugar
1 cup flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
pinch of salt

Stir into dry ingredients:
1/2 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Add chocolate mixture to mixture in bowl. Scrape batter into greased
9x9
inch pan.
Over top, sprinkle *without* mixing:
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
4 Tablespoons cocoa

Pour over all 1 cup cold water. Bake 40 minutes at 325 degrees. Serve
with
ice cream or whipped cream."
