Well, if you're taking a poll, my interest includes all animals, and
it has something to do with the mere presence of organic lifeforce. I
dunno... it's like what Obeewan Kinoby said about "The Force - it
surrounds us, it connects us, it binds us together- or something like
that" It's not unlike the feeling I get when I'm out in nature,
especially in a place like the south, where the density of life can be
much greater (the swamp on Degoba is a great example)!>

As for thier intelligence, I can't anthropomorphize. Birds is wicked
dum. They're a cut above reptiles, for goodness sake.>

Uglier is better.>

Anyone would tell you that's why I love Deborah!>

Yeah, like I said above.>
Well, gotta run...
gotta keep the loonies on the path.
Do you ever think about it? It's a profound thought actually,
considering the similarities between their intelligence and ours.
Exciting!
Was it because you found a cute pet in the window and you thought it
would make a great companion?
Was it because you felt a need to know the free spirit of a bird?
Was it because you felt compelled to be united in relationship with a
bird as opposed to a dog or a cat (who themselves have their own
spirits)?
I know this is getting kind of deep but I'm curious what motivates us to
hold in our hands the spirit of a bird! That is a very powerful thing
we have taken upon ourselves!
I am of Native American descent and my grandmother taught me that all
things on this earth have a reason for being and all things have a
relationship with each other.
I happen to be awestruck by birds. Their spirit, their beauty, their
intelligence and their willingness to relate to humans. It's almost
like there's something they know they need to teach us! There's GOT to
be something there that I'm not seeing.
I'm ever in wonder regarding this very subject, for I firmly believe we
have so much to learn from our birds and I'm constantly bewildered,
vindicated and moved to great depths by my feathered friends.
Even the spirits of the birds whose wings I have clipped have not been
hindered in the least, of which I have been in constant witness and
eager anticipation.

P.S. And just because I'm your resident artist (far as I know), doesn't
mean I'm the only one with reflections on this subject. I'm hungry for
fellowship on this line of thinking and encourage and welcome anyone
with their own thoughts to reply via email.

I have come to the conclusion, they are my *Guardian Angels* in
disguise. (only because they don't look familar to me)smile
Through my RoseBuds death, I felt *pain*, with pain, I became
*humble*.
Seeing my babies heart beating in the egg, I reconized
*responsibility* with the sence of *creating* a live baby.
With the *desire* of wanting to incubate an egg, came *dependence*
on my higher being.
Through *restlesss* nights with a sick baby, came a *spirit of
God*, ... a *found deliverance* with the *healing* of the baby.
I could go on ....and on but I won't bore you.
anyway,
Guardian Angels
Pain
Humble
REsponsible
Creating
Desire
Restless
Found deliverance
Healing
My wings of joy (birds) are the Spirits of my God, directing and
inciting me in the development of my *being*(human) with a episodoc
passion for this earth and the creatures of God.
