For the first time since 1999 everyone will get the chance to vote for the
BNP - the difference this time being that we really do HAVE a chance of

where succesful, have been avoided as areas for dispersal of economic
migrants claiming Asylum.
The BNP victors can claim that vote for them, and your area will not be
further colonised by immigrants. Not a good sign, considering how fed up

It was a pure fluke, given that the Labour vote was split between Tim
Crowther
and Florence Smith. I just hope that when there are other BNP candidates
in future, someone will back down from forcing such a split, given the very
negative situation which they may cause, such as this result.

I don't think a majority of 114 is enough for this "victory" to be

I see it as no more than a nuance. Wotan and Abelard are really very
similar. They are both idiologues. They seem troubled by socialist or
marxist 'enemies'. Marxism is a very specific ideology which has not really
been attempted anywhere. The old USSR produced tons of Marxist
interpretations for export but didn't actually work that way ever. All
dictators like to cloak themselves in what they believe to be intellectual
finery.
But Marxism couldn't work really because it is based on a whole series of
misunderstandings.
If Marx has any value it is in his belief that human behaviour can be
understood if it is analysed scientifically. Among other things, Marx
lacked the maths. His statement "I am not a Marxist" and his rejection of
ideology suggests that despite his limitations, he was aware of the dangers
of blindly following the latest rhetorical fad.
Socialism by itself is a meaningless term. There are just too many different
approaches and ideals which, ultimately, require and acquire their own
label.
A pragmatist will pick and mix from ideas to suit circumstances. There is no
one way of approaching a problem.

I don't support the BNP (although they do have some very good ideas) or any
other party (I will probably vote Conservative at the next G.E.), however I
believe that in the right areas the BNP can be used as a tool to destroy
NuLabour's share of the votes, however I have no love at all for the LibDems
because if they got in to power we would see huge tax increases way beyond
Blair & Brown, also the LibDems have a total fool in their midst i.e. Simon
Hughes.

I think once people realise what BNP councillors do for their areas,
they'll lose their seats anyway. The BNP lost Millwall quickly, and have
already lost elections in two of the other seats that they hold.

Yep, that proves that you don't understand "progressive taxation".
It is not about taxation increasing, but is the opposite of
"regressive taxation"
Progressive taxation is taxation that increases with a person's
or family's ability to pay the tax.
Reressive taxation (at best) is flat-rate taxation regardless of
ability to pay.
So, income tax is (fairly) progrssive. Council tax (apart from
CTB - Council Tax Benefit) is regressive.
