The Gay & Lesbian Victory Fund issued a broadcast email on Wed., Sept. 12 to
announce that "Victory Fund Candidates Win Resoundingly! 88% of Endorsed
Candidates Win [Sept. 11] Elections" while our Nation is in morning over the
biggest tragedy in our history. Instead of waiting until next week or more
appropriate time, the Victory Fund issues a celebratory statement while
possibly as many as 10,000 - 20,000 or more people have not even been
removed from the attacked buildings.

I am not sure how the other parts of the country are but if there was an
election in Atlanta on Sept. 11, the turnout would have been extremely
small. Almost every major building and buildings in Atlanta closed on Sept.
11 including Bank of America and Coca-Cola. The FBI shut down the CNN
Center (other than broadcast employees) early in the morning. With this any
"group" in an election that is proclaiming and celebrating victory is
sending a signal that they are more concerned about their political gain
than our national crisis.

The national TV networks have discussed how both National Baseball and
Football Leagues have canceled/postponed games through this weekend along
with other public events. These discussions where not only made based on
security issues but on the fact that it would be in extremely poor taste to
be celebrating while bodies are still being pulled from these buildings.

I think it is only an effort to be self-serving for an advocacy organization
that claims to be trying to gain social justice to be so heartless to
proclaim political victories in the day after an act of war on our country
killing thousands of innocent people. This make gays and lesbians look as
though we are small minded and single issue focused, not concerted with
humanity in general.

Only to those who say the gay issue as inferior to this one...which it
is not. We have been fighting a war for decades, and this one has just
begun! We are in the middle of war against homophobes...and I take
PRIDE in those GLBT's who haven't even flinched in battle, over this
Sept. 11 attack.

Soon enough, WWIII will turn into an anti-gay jihad...to "cleanse" the
world of us evil queers, who are responsible for all bad things,
including Muslim terrorism. "If ONLY all faggots were eliminated, then
God will be benevolent, and reign peace on our sorry planet" will be
the theme of this war.
