Friends,

Last weekend, before posting the request for cooperation in opening
up pathways for postings with distributions of "anon" and "ARMM", I
measured the network penetration of posts with both distributions.
The result was 1/11 auto-responders replied to these limited
distributions.

This weekend, I did a similar test for the "ARMM" distribution,
and I am pleased to report that the network penetration for this
distribution has reached 5/11.

Your cooperation has increased the "reach" of this distribution
from 9% to 45% in one week. That's great! Thanks for the help.

The target is 85%. If we can open the net to that extent, I
think both "anon" and "ARMM" distributions will be added to anonymous
and automatic moderation posts. At least that is what the latest
version of the "anon - ARMM minimal conventions" (as we now call them)
calls for. The negotiations are now tripartite... Karl has joined
Julf and I. This has resulted in some "rendering of the fat" as we
eliminate areas of disagreement. Whether enough disagreements can
be ironed out or ignored remains to be seen. The "distributions"
convention is *not* a point of contention.

Thanks again,
Dick
