so?

that's like saying misanthropy is racist because anyone who hates people in
general hates blacks.

besides, i don't think hating any particular religion means you have to
hate its practitioners; they're all dupes of the Sutterite conspiracy to
make everyone as stupid as Timmy through retroactive brainwashing. or kill
me.

I guess blacks aren't part of "anyone."

Of course, it's been said that blacks make up

actually latinos are probably the
fastest growing "ethnic" population in D.C.

OH NO!!! By not believing the entire Old Testament, I'm...sob...no better
than a NAZI!!!! <Snicker>

I'm also anti-Islamic, anti-New-Ager, anti-Mormon, anti-Scientology, etc.
So what?
it's none of their damn business until they start spamming in my newsgroup!

These guys look like they might have a fair amount of entertainment value.
A little scroller on their front-page says "We do not support freedom of
speech on the internet or anywhere else..."

By posting this to a newsgroup full of Discordians, I can only presume their
isotope of Christianity involves flagellation.

Well, I looked around their site a bit.

YE HOLY MOTHER OF CHAOS! This guy makes Jack Chick look like Mother Theresa
with the sheer BILE of his Total Hatred for _ALL_ non-Christians. He evidently
believes that the US's Constitution was inspired by Satan, since it allows
people to be non-Christian, supports the takeover by a theocracy, the death
penalty for EVERYTHING the Bible disapproves of, etc, ad nauseam....

Maybe this is a parody site--it's certainly far enough over the top, but it
isn't funny. It is a good reducto ad absurdiam of the popular Fundamentalist
'Us or Them' mentality, and its stirring call for a return to the Dark Ages,
but with nuclear weapons...It made me feel unclean.

It reads like Jack Chick's idea of what the Anti-Christ plans to do to
Christians in the End Times. (A little projection there, I guess.) It's got
to be the most eloquent argument for the separation of Church and State I've
seen yet.

i do have a strong stomach, but i cannot support absolute "free speech"
when it's found on such a poorly-designed website. i somehow doubt that
ALMIGHTY GOD would approve of having His DIVINE WORD spread in such a way.

some jews doubt the literal truth of the bible. the see the torah as
fictionalized view of wandering hill tribnes that formed a confederation in
the hills and set up shop on the road between egypt and syria and persia

our ancestors didnt distinguish fact and fiction and legend and revelation the
way we do.

They probably understood more than we do. At least there was probably
more of concensus (there always is when hot irons are involved).

Anyway. The great god irreason farts on your words. Are jews first

i dont understand. are you angry because im not claiming the bible is
literally true? you seem angry about something. is there something specific i
should say to give you a reason to be angry

the bible must be literally true, because people back in the old day
weren't stupid, and they'd have to be stupid to believe it if that stuff
really didn't happen.

of course, this is a fallacy, since the first bible-believing people had
pagan ancestors, who also must have been smarter than them (by the
principle that ancestors are smarter than their decendants), so therefore
Discordianism is true (i can prove that discordianism was, in fact, the
first religion, but people today are stupid so they wouldn't believe it.)

when saving face, at least make comments
that bear a close resemblance to the
so-called "phenomena" you invoke.

it still stands that your webbed fingers
are due to congenital defects
in your make-up.

they certainly serve no useful purpose
to the overall population and
should best be severed.

as there is little chance that the human population
shall ever take up residence in the ocean.

sounds to me like your family is raising side show attractions.

Concept of accelerated evolution too complex for you, I see. Or is
something else nagging at you? Well, don't blame your childhood
traumas on me, sirrah. It's not my fault that your siamese twin got
both the brains and the testicles during the surgical split.

My selective news server just delivered this thread. Wasn't that nice
of it?
Anyway. I wasn't angry - I hit capslock by mistake and couldn't be
arsed to rectify it. These things happen. It only looks angry. I'm
sure there are things that you could say that would make me angry but
religeon as a subject isn't a good source for them.
