Some of you know that I have been worried about my 84-yr. old Mom, whom I recently found out was suddenly struck down and hospitalized with
what was first diagnosed as pneumonia. (She and my Dad live in Florida, where they retired some 20 years ago.) Turns out it's not that, but a blood
clot in her lung. Amazingly, as of today she is recovering rapdily, and feels just great!

So I want to thank everyone concerned from the bottom of my heart, for sending your thoughts of love and well-wishes in my Mom's direction.
Obviously--almost *too obviously, for my Mom's kinda *scared at such sudden improvement--our prayers worked magnificently. One problem though:

To really motivate my Mom from her sick-bed, I said that I'm running for U.S. President in the next election...no bull. Now, you know how Mom's are
about things like this: so I'm counting on all of you in our beloved queer family, to vote for me for President when you step into that voting booth in
November 2003. That is: if you care at all for my Mom's dream come true, and her good health and happiness for many more years to come. This is
definitely *one time I *can't weasel my way out -- Mom's radar is on full alert!

And I do believe that both my parents now see me in quite a different light...and will finally *pay my way every Christmas, to hang with family. Because
i've always been too poor to do so myself, I always hoped they'd do this for me; and I even suggested this once, but did my Mom rag back at me!

I think, however, things will soon be quite different. What a long journey this has been! All I can say is: my Mom and Dad sure pressed the enveloped,
wating till the very last moment to right certain wrongs. Scary? You don't know the half of it. Whew!
