You'll probably get quite a lot of "Yes, I like him too!" type
responses to this posting, as there always seems to be a flurry of
interest in this group about Nick Cave & co. as soon as anyone
mentions his name.
Were the Shepherds Bush gigs any good. It's probably the first time in
ages that I haven't seen Nick Cave doing a UK appearance. Is the
Empire an all seater venue (*groan*) ... it used to belong to the BBC
and I wondered if they've done anything to adapt it.
They must have played _From Her To Eternity_ and _The Weeping Song_
(don't ya just love it when Blixa gets to do his bit!) and _Deanna_
has played a pretty strong part in their set in recent years ...
Oh well ... It's probably best not to start a "My favourite Nick Cave
Song is ..." debate as that sort of thing goes on for ages and gets
nobobdy anywhere ... Suffice it to say I really like the older stuff
but the new albums not bad ... maybe better than _The Good Son_ and
_Henry's Dream_ ...
Cheers,
Tony.

Let Love In is my favourite at the moment, but then again it is still a
new album, let's see after six months or so :)
Every album from Mercy Seat to Let Love In are great (I'm sorry to be
boring too).
If there is someone who could mail a complete discography, B-sides and
all, I would be most grateful.

Well, I like Nick Cave in general but Henry's Dream is a pretty uneven
effort and I can't imagine why anyone would like the Good Son; that
collection of mediocre, Christian dirges would be an embarrassment for
anyone, let along someone with Cave's reputation. Better choices would

I think Blixa is a bigger star than Nick, even. :-) When I saw the
Bad Seeds a few years back (The Good Son tour), there was large-scale
public craziness when they played The Weeping Song.. girlies yelling
"WE LOVE YOU BLIXA!!".. and then, when Nick asked what they should do
for an encore, someone shouted "another song by Blixa!!".
Truly, he's the sex symbol of the band. :-)

I saw the show in Copenhagen, it was great, but he didn't play _From Her To
Eternity_ nor did he play _Tupelo_, off course he could have play them at
at the Shepherds Bush Empire theatre.

They played Weeping Song at Sheperds Bush (on the Friday, at least), but not
From Her to Eternity or Tupelo. (Or John Finns Wife, for that matter).
It was still great, though.
