I'm doing research for a film proposal, the topic being how computers are
cultural phenomena and various permutations of computers and society,
computers and culture, etc. This is for an anthropology class, so situating
computers in a *cultural* context is extremely important. One idea I'm
playing with is the culture of people out there who lead their lives
through computers (more than just use them as a tool for work, but use
telecommunications for social interaction, etc.). If you know of any
good articles in newspapers or periodicals, any good books, or any good
videos/tv shows/movies on this topic, PLEEZE e-mail me. Thanks! Your
help will be greatly appreciated and duely acknowledged.
