Just in case someone googles for this later:

The Archos Jukebox Multimedia 20 works out of the box with Suse 8.0 (and
presumably every other USB-supporting, semi-recent Linux distro). Just
don't expect data transfers to be blazingly fast.

(It also appears to be much more usable than it's predecessor, the Jukebox
20, which was released about a year ago.)

Here's a usage tip:
If you let the drive sit idle long enough it will, for some reason, flip
into read-only mode and will be impossible to properly unmount (unmount
will always say "device is busy"). Get it back into r/w mode by doing
'mount /path/to/mountpoint -o remount'. i don't know how to solve the
umount problem, though: run sync a few times, wait a while and unplug it is
the only workaround i know.
