Thanks!

Abhorsen is 1 year late according to 1999 projections of a 2000 release. See

His website says September 2002. Unless you're in the UK in which
case it's 2004.
Amazon is offering a downloadable LIRAEL with a teaser for ABHORSEN,
fwiw.

Australian publication will probably be at the same time. The UK is behind
already and begin with SABRIEL in August 2002.
Within the next few weeks I will be putting some sample chapters from
ABHORSEN on my website at www.ozemail.com.au/~garthnix and probably they
will also go up on the eidolon site, www.eidolon.net/garth_nix
I'm also going to put up the (hopefully) funny piece I did at Aussiecon III
and Swancon called 'My New Epic Fantasy Series', as several people have
requested it. An exhibition of my lighter side.
Sorry about the delay with ABHORSEN. I keep saying that I think it's better
to have the right book later rather than the wrong book sooner, I hope this
turns out to be true . . .
Best wishes
Garth Nix
Absolute agreement here. Thanks so much for the update!

Ah, the dilemma of sample chapters - to read or not to read.
I'll probably succumb. As I recall, though, the eidolon site has been
inaccessible the last few times I tried.

I look forward to it, not having had the opportunity to attend Aussicon.

<wipes drool off keyboard> That'll be quite nice. I'm looking forward to
it.

Hear, hear!
