V Quick ramblings tonight (maybe I should try this more often!) Off on my
hols now (Paris, week after World Cup, bargain), have fun everyone and I'll
be back to do the Ramblings next week.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Biff and Chris are surprised by Tara when she tells them of a business
meeting out of town. Roy offers to help Chris with the job interviews for
Chalet maids at the holiday village.

Heather and Terry agree to tell the girls about their relationship. Very
subtle! "Me and Terry are having an affair thing". Lyn is OK, Kirsty a
little unhappy/strange. They all put it down to a phase she's going through.

At Home Farm, Lyn is first in the queue for the job interviews, but is
accused of stealing the money Kelly stole when she lived there, and Chris
asks Roy to throw her out. Roy knows the truth, Lyn can't believe Kelly let
him believe she is a thief.

Kirsty gets a job at the Holiday Village, because Chris says he knows where
she lives and if there is any trouble, he'll tell her mother about it in a
loud voice in the middle of the woolpack.

Kirsty is acting strangely again, carrying 'round a large bag of sweets and
asking a bemused Will if he thinks she's pretty, then launching into a
tirade when he says he thinks she is! Lyn asks if she's pregnant, Kirsty
says nobody likes her enough to get her pregnant.

At the Tea Rooms, Marlon, Rachel and Betty encourage Kathy to buy Eric out.
Kathy mulls over the possibilities, and discusses Marlon's trustworthiness
with Rachel. They agree that he's shown some nous in training to be a chef,
despite everyone having laughed at him at the time. Kathy agrees to give him
a chance and will take him on if she takes over from Eric.

Eric, however, is not an easy man to beat. When Kathy offers to buy him out
she gets a frosty reply. He tells Kathy it ain't over and that he may yet
get his licence back! Meanwhile, Marlon has been trying to listen in,
ignoring Lyn, who walks out.

Tara makes Biff stop the car in a secluded spot on the estate. It's Tara's
nanny's house, the place where she spent her summers while Mummy and Daddy
were in the south of France. Tara has arrranged for an agenmcy driver to
pick them up later, so they can have a day to themselves. Tara really does
have feelings for Biff, they discuss the possible implications of Betty and
Kathy gossiping. A phone call interrupts them, Tara switches the phone
off...

Later, Chris receives some bad news for Tara, he goes to Oakwell Hall. When
Tara and Biff arrive, she is rather drunk, and abuses Chris for following
her about like a stalker or a lost puppy. Biff realises Chris is serious, he
is, Tara's father has just died.
