Has anyone seen the poster for this Sat. show at the Troc?
(Ruin, F.O.D. & Love Muffin)
It has a funny graphic. But then there is this banner saying:
'West Philla Punk.' (And no, that's not a typo, the person who made the
poster doesn't know how that the slang for Philadelphia is 'Philly.' Is that
possible??)
But any who, what did Ruin & F.O.D. ever have to do with West Philly?
They certainly never did anything to support West Philly & were never
considered West Philly bands. Are we rewriting history already?
Love,
Elizabeth Fiend

Maybe they meant Westphalia, you know, Germany. From what you say
they have as much to do with that as West Philly! ;-)

I think that since all the shows for a long time was held in W.Phila, then
whomever particpated, such as FOD could be considered as part of it.

No, I have never read this poster you speak of, nor do I have any clue of
what you are talking about. In fact, I deplore whatever type of freaky
music you listen to. But one thing I do know about is the early
foundations of Quakerism in early 17th century Philadelphia. The Quakers
were characterized as pacifists, religious fanatics and extremely
non-conformist individuals who refused to take legal oaths which
contributed, in collusion with their pacifist natures, allowing savage
Indian tribes to rape this border colony, to lose any possible political
power.
