Summary:
Chap. 9. The Visitation

Mary's angels, knowing that she carried in her womb the Almighty King
of kings, which make her truly the Ark of the Testament, helped her
in all her household chores. This is in honor anad services to the
King.

Sometimes, birds were sent by God to His Mother. They sang and
chirped in harmonious choirs and sometimes Mary sang with them.

Three days after the Annunciation, the Lord revealed to Mary in a
vision that the child in Elizabeth's womb was to be a great
prophet and forerunner of the Messias. Thus, God told Mary to
give Elizabeth a visit. Mary told this as her plans to St.
Joseph and she asked for his blessings. This trip would once
again expose Mary publicly.

St. Joseph and Mary set out in 4 tiring days with a borrowed donkey,
some food, for this journey.

Mary spiritually conversed to her angels during this journey. She
also talked to St. Joseph a lot about knowledge and prophecies of
the coming of the Redeemer. Joseph's understanding filled him
with joy and wonderment. It was like unusual new divine graces
were given to him.

St. Joseph and Mary never failed to provide charity to the poor
they encountered along the way to Zacharias's house on the
mountains of Judea. They stayed in inns. One time, in Mary's
presence, a sick girl was healed of fever.

Once they reached their destination, events found in Luke 1:39-80
took place.

St. Joseph only stayed for 3 days and went back to Nazareth while
Mary planned to stay for 3 months.

Mary first recited the Magnificat in the presence of Elizabeth.
Other times, she and Elizabeth recited it together while adoring
God.

Elizabeth begged Mary to stay beyond her plan. At least until
the baby was born because Elizabeth wanted to see her baby in Mary's
arms.

The Lord instructed Mary during her prayer to stay up to the
circumcision of the child. That would be 8 days after birth.

A few days later, St. Elizabeth gave birth with only moderate labor
pains.

Once the baby was in Mary's hands, she raised him to God and prayed
to Him for his future ministry. Mary did not kiss him, though,
because she reserved her chaste lips for her own Divine Son.

On the circumcision, when the custom was also to give the child
his name, Zacharias ws able to talk again and he said that "His
name is John". Then, through Mary's prayers, Zacharias was
inspired to recite the Benedictus.

When St. Joseph arrived to accompany Mary back home, Mary asked
blessings from Zacharias. Obliging, Zacharias said, "In thee
let all nations know their God, and through thee, let the name
of the Lord of Jacob be glorified."

Finally, before they left, Mary gave the babe, St. John, many
blessings and graces. The babe amazingly whispered to her,
"You are the Mother of God Himself - may your intercession
never fail me.". Then he kissed her hand 3 times.

Along the way back home, Mary healed a partly evil-possessed
poor woman and she converted an innkeeper's life.

At this time, Mary had not told St. Joseph that she carries
in her womb a babe, the Son of God.
