Hello,

I'am trying to install a Quantum LP240S drive on my Opus sun clone
(sparc IPC clone, sunOS 4.1.3); this is a disk that i used on my mac,
so i've got some scsi gemoetry info about it using a scsi disk utility
on the mac; here they are:

LP240S GM240S01x rev 6.4
(this is also the info given by probe-scsi of the sun diag prom)

cyl : 1825 heads: 4 sectors/track: 87
capacity : 470350 blocks (of 512 bytes)

not very consistant at 1825*4*87 <> 479350

however i had some Quantum data sheet for the ProDrive LP240AT:

cyl: 723 heads: 13 sectors/track:51
capacity: 479349 blocks

i defined in /etc/format.dat disk_type according to both sets of data
and partition accordingly (i want to define a c partition
corresponding to the whole capacity);

none of them works properly : the system issues a message that my disk
label is corrupted because the capacity does not correspond to what
the drive says; (however, i can mount the partition - sd1c - and use
the disk...);

could someone send me the disc_type and a partition example for that
Quantum LP240S?

Thanks.
