RE: PROSPECTS OF A GOA-NET!
I am posting this on behalf of a friend who has taken the intiative
to start a GOA-NET for people from GOA or the Konkani speaking people.
All other persons who are intrested in the above topic are also
welcome to join.If I find sufficient people intrested,then I might take
the initiative to start a news group for this purpose.If anyone has taken
such a initiative previously I would like your views on this.

Just as the heading says, I am trying to start a Goa-Net. This
is our first try at this, so we will not have a very complex system.
The Goa-Net's goal will be to discuss different issues that may
be presented by any of our members, discuss different topics, and above
all this, to link Goans worldwide by email. Along with a few other Gaon
friends, I have tried to build up a mailing list. Momentarily, we have
only about 20 Goans on my mailing list .
Just for starters, I will have to ask that ONLY Goans apply and
Konkani speaking natives, if you wish to. Please follow the instructions
given below for a successful application:

and send the information requested. The Goa-Net has no charge, and will
remain free for awhile to come =)
It would be helpful if you the readers, would also include some
suggestions for topics and issues to be discussed. You may prefer to
hold your thoughts untill the net is fully completed.... its up to you.
I hope that this will be a successful try. So far so good!
Recently I started this " irc " channel called channel Goa, which is now
used frequently by many Goans and Konkani speaking natives. You are
always welcome here.

I explicitly stated what it begins like, and now you are
butting in with a totally different one. Read the question properly.
I just got an email saying a song in "devadasi" might fit.
Worth pursuing. Keep in mind this has a sort of a light-hearted tune.
If I succeed in pecking keys on the casiotone, I will post them.
