Part 1
In return for looking after his wallet, Biff allows a potential buyer to
test drive the motorbike. The biker sets off at high speed, startling Betty.
Will & Marlon tease him about it, but the biker returns.

Kim is late for work and tries to get Steve to hurry up with dressing James.
Steve suggests that she doesn't see enough of James, and states that they
could live a life of luxury if they steal the stud. Kim isn't impressed,
saying that it would deprive James of Chris & Zoë.

Roy asks Jack's permission to move into Annie's cottage; Jack gives his
blessing but tells him that he'll keep an eye on him like he does with Will.
Ned seems happy as he packs up his stuff; Jack assures Roy that his dad will
be happy.

Betty storms round to see Biff, telling him that she will call the
authorities if the bike scares her again. Biff tells her that she won't see
the bike again, and tries to tell her that he sold it for her, but she goes
off in a huff.

Paddy pops round to the Dingles - they are overjoyed to see him. Lisa has
cooked him a big fry-up and Zak informs him that he's looking for a job so
that he can pay him back. He also tells paddy that he's a changed man -
Paddy looks embarrassed.

Tara asks Kim what her plans are for later in the day - she wants to sell a
mare to an interested buyer.

Roy finds Ned in the greenhouse, wondering what he will do with the plants.
Ned tells him that he's upset that he's leaving the cottage, particularly as
Jan is no longer with him. He & Roy have only got each other now, and he
tells Roy to look after himself. As he leaves, Roy tells him that he'll give
him a ring.

Biff pops into the Diner; after checking that Betty isn't about, he asks
Marlon where he can find some ketchup. Marlon points him to the kitchen.
Biff manages to put the money in Betty's handbag before Marlon goes in.
Meantime, Paddy is also in the Diner. Marlon teases him for lending his
savings to the Dingles. Paddy tells him that Zak is looking for a job so
that he can repay him: Marlon laughs and says that the only way he will get
back the money is if Lisa gets a job. He then gives Paddy his last few
pennies, saying that he will need it.

Tara is showing Charles Greer around the stud farm - he is a prospective
investor for the business. He seems interested in the set-up. While she goes
off to Oakwell Hall, Charles bumps into Kim and assumes that she works for
Tara. Kim informs him that she is actually Tara's business partner, just as
Tara and the Rottweiler return. Charles is annoyed at this deception and is
not keen on doing business.

Betty tells Kathy that she is going to view a prospective property, which
sounds nice. She then opens her handbag and finds the money.

Part 2
Tara goes after Charles, but he tells her that his involvement depended on
Kim being an employee. Kim is annoyed that Tara lied to her about what she
was doing, Tara is equally annoyed that Kim ruined the deal. The Rottweiler
steams into Kim, telling her that her name is mud now and that *she* is the
reason why the stud farm is losing business. Kim tries to offer her opinion,
but Laura is having none of it. She tersely tells Kim that if she tells her
to stay away , then Kim should do as she says.

Betty is mystified as to where the money came from. First she thinks that it
may be a mistake, then she suggests that Kim may have left the money as she
was so fond of Seth. Kathy suggests that Zoë may have left the money as she
felt guilty about Betty's impending eviction.

Roy moves in properly with the lads. Marlon cooks him a welcome meal, while
Will moves a lot of his stuff. They discuss what to do for Will's 18th -
Will wants to stay in with a few cans and a video, while Roy & Marlon decide
on a party. Will isn't keen.

At the vet's surgery, Zoë is listening to a prompted recommendation of
Paddy's work when the man himself walks in. Zoë suspects that Paddy may have
asked the mystery caller to ring her. Paddy asks what she thinks of him, she
sings his praises. He ten asks for a pay rise; she responds with a dinner
invitation.

Kim returns home in a pensive mood. Steve asks her what's wrong, she tells
him she "stinks of poverty".

Zak peruses the job ads and ponders on the meaning of a PhD (Lisa's
suggestion: pretty hard degree). She wonders why Zak isn't down at the
Woolpack after their tea, he tells her that he wants to spend more time with
her. Lisa doesn't believe him, and tells him so. He then admits that he
wants to save money to pay Paddy back. She's so pleased she gives him a big
hug, and offers to buy him a drink with her lottery winnings (a tenner).

Paddy & Zoë are at dinner. He tells her that unless he gets a substantial
pay rise, he'll have to look for another job which pays more. Zoë realises
this, and offers him the chance to buy into the business. She's prepared to
sell half of it for 45 grand, suggesting that he uses his savings as a
deposit and take out a loan for the rest.

Scott turns up to see Roy. Marlon doesn't trust Scott, as he "stole"
Paulette from him, but Roy tells him not to worry. They discuss suitable
venues for Will's 18th: the Post Office is out, as is Annie's Cottage, so
they decide on the Woolpack (surprise surprise). Will *still* isn't
impressed.

Kim tells Steve about the ruined deal, and how no-one wants to do business
with her since he lost their money. Steve isn't surprised - he feels this
has been brewing for a while. Kim wants her old, rich life back. Steve
states that they can have it back - if they steal the horse.

At the Woolie, Zoë persuades Paddy to talk to Mandy about the partnership,
as she's sure that Mandy will be pleased that he wants to place his roots in
Emmerdale for their future. Paddy agrees to speak to her, although he's
nervous of her response. Zak comes in and wants to buy Paddy a drink; he
ducks out, telling him that he is on call.

Kathy wonders why her life is so mundane, and tells Rachel that she wants to
be swept off her feet by someone - someone like Graham, who walks into the
pub at that moment. Rachel denies that she fancies him;
"yeah right, that's why you threw yourself at him last week," says Kathy.

Graham tells Alan that his mates thought he was mad to move to Emmerdale,
but that he likes the area and has put in an offer for Connerton (sp?) View.

Butch has applied for a job at Hotten Computer Store, while Zak considers
becoming a milkman (although he isn't impressed by the early starts).

Steve explains his plan to Kim, and how they can't get caught if they are
each other's alibis. He's keen to do it, but Kim reckons that he'll go to
prison without her help. She decides to think about it, and tells Steve that
if they go ahead, they'll do it her way.

End

Note - was Connelton View (the cottage that Graham wants to by) the same
cottage that Betty was going to see earlier in the episode? I can't
remember! :((
