Charlie's Chatterings

Home Farm
Laura and Tara are talking about the evictions. Tara asks if they were
all delivered alright. Laura tells her that as far as she knows they
were but Biff delivered them. Tara goes mad, she explains to Laura that
Biff has just unknowingly evicted members of his family and Ned won't
let that go. As if on queue, Biff gets out of the Merc just as Ned
comes blasting up the drive in his Landy.

Sugdens
Robert is teasing Andy about cleaning his teeth before breakfast. Andy
explains is so he is ready for when Emma kisses him.

Home Farm
Ned and Roy come for Tara and Biff. They explain that the letter was an
eviction notice. Biff is shocked, he starts questioning Tara. Tara is
upset, Laura explains that they haven't paid rent for 8 months. Ned
screams at her that it was because Chris tried to rape Linda, it was
compensation from Frank so Ned wouldn't kill Chris. Ned calls Tara a
heartless cow and lunges for her, but Biff stands in his way. Steve
comes over to see what all the fuss is about. Ned leaves telling Biff
that he can't bear to look at him and he's scum like the rest of them.
Roy walks over to Tara and spits at her feet. Biff walks away, ignoring
Tara's pleas for him to come back.

The Dingles
They are counting all their spare change to get the rent together. Its
250 quid, they think about asking Paddy. Mandy comes in dragging Paddy
behind her. He gives them the money.

Home Farm
Biff is angry, he's upset that Tara let him hand his family their
eviction notice. She explains that she's lost a father and this is why
she is doing it all. Biff tells her that Ned has had a much worse
year. She argues that they are comparing grief. He says that she tells
him she loves him but she is just using him and that he can't blame Ned
for not speaking to him. She says she'll talk to Ned but Biff tells her
to keep her distance from Ned. Tara questions whether she should keep
her distance from him as well. He asks her to take back the eviction.
Tara says that if she took Ned's back it would be some other family and
other friends coming giving her a hard time. Biff points out that this
isn't anyone who is asking, its him, and he begs her again but she says
she can't.

Glovers House
Zak comes round to see Ned, Ned tells him he's having one of those days
where everything is just going wrong. He shows Zak the eviction
notice. Zak tells him that he wishes he could help but he knows nothing
of the ins and outs of law, not from the legal side anyway. Ned
explains that he has no fight left in him. Zak tells him that he'll
stick up for him as he's going to Home Farm to pay the rent and he's
going to offer them a piece of his mind.

Holiday Village
Emma is worried about Kirsty as she is looking pale. She explains that
Lynn wasn't gossiping when she told them all about Kirsty's illness, she
was just worried. Kirsty says that she understands and that it is nice
as she did it for attention anyway, but that she's stopped now.

Woolpack
Terry is asking Vic's advice about Heather. Vic understands the
problem, she comes with a DIY family pack. Ned and Jack come in and
Alan gives them drinks on the house. Alan suggests that Home Farm is
jinxed as it makes decent people do indecent things. Ned tells him its
just bricks and mortar and doesn't give out any bad feelings, just
bricks and mortar, like his house. Terry is explaining that Heather
can be sexy when her temper is up and the lighting is right, but mostly
she is a mother with 2 kids. Heather comes in to tell Alan that she has
some good news.

Home Farm
Chris is in the office with Laura asking about the evictions and what is
going to happen to the staff. Laura asks why he is questioning it all.
Chris explains that he is interested in Kim, he's always dreamt of
seeing her at rock bottom and at the moment it just keeps happening.
Zak bursts in and pays his rent. He asks Laura (Chris's floozy) to
leave as he has some harsh words to say. Laura refuses to leave. He
asks about the nonsense about Ned Glover. Laura admits to evicting
him. Zak says that Ned is popular in the village, they won't stand for
him being thrown out. Chris asks if he will lead the uprising. Laura
explains that he'll have his own problems to think about rather than
Ned's and she hands him an eviction notice.

ADVERTS

Home Farm
Zak is telling them that they can't kick the Dingles out. Chris tells
him that they have many reasons as they have broken their tenancy
agreement so many times. Zak asks what will happen to the house, will
it be sold? Laura tells him that the house is worthless but they can
get good money for the land, about 10,000 pounds. Zak is miserable as
he can't afford that. Laura offers him the house and the land if he can
raise £6,000 in 6 weeks.

Holiday Village
Paulette is looking for Roy she asks Emma and Kirsty if they have seen
him. He appears out of uniform and looking for a jacket he left there.
He tells the girls he is quitting cause of the evictions. He tells them
to get on with their shifts cause they are getting a new supervisor and
Chris is on his way. Kirsty feels ill and collapses in Emma's arms.

Woolpack
Vic and Terry are still talking about Heather. Vic says he can see the
problem cause Terry dumped Viv as soon as the kids complicated things,
and that he should end it as soon as possible. Heather gets a call
about Kirsty and goes to the Holiday Village to get her. Terry explains
that its a life full of melodrama.

The Dingles
Zak comes home. Ned asks if there is any good news. Zak says no. Ned
suggets that they hole up in his place and refuse to leave like the
Dingle's did before. Zak says there is no point they would get them out
in the end. Ned wonders why Zak is so down but then they play snap with
the eviction notices.

Holiday Village
Heather arrives to get Kirsty. The doctor has been called and is with
her. Roy leaves before Chris arrives, Paulette asks if she can see him
later, Roy agrees. The doctor says that Kirsty just fainted due to lack
of food, she has been neglecting herself. The doctor suggests she gets
counselling for an eating disorder. Emma leaves them, Kirsty just looks
scared.

Vets Surgery
Paddy is wondering why Zoe is so grouchy. She is complaining that she
is always caught between Home Farm and the rest of the world. Mandy
comes to gets Paddy for a family council meeting. He won't leave so she
tells him that Zoe's lot are evicting them.

Sugdens
Andy is reading a rhyming dictionary when Robert comes in. He is
writing a poem for Emma. However he is having problems as he can't find
a better rhyming word for Emma than dilemma. Robert reads the poem -
'Oh Emma, Oh Emma, I'm in a dilemma'
I think I'm in love with you
I don't want your bairns, Emma Cairns,
But I'm in love with you.
Emma comes in and Robert tells her Andy has something for her. He tries
to get Andy to read it to her. Emma is in no mood for it, complains she
has had a lousy day and stomps off upstairs.

Tenants Cottage
Tara knocks on the door and Biff answers, he isn't pleased to see her.
He tells her that she obviously doesn't care for him. Tara tells him to
grow up and that it is just business and nothing to do with them. He
tells her to stop speaking as she can't help but make things worse and
then shuts the door.

Woolpack
Heather and Kirsty are talking about the bulimia. Kirsty tells her that
it started when she was 13 when Heather was going out with Steve who hit
her. Then it started again after the fire. Heather tells her the good
news that they have found a new house in Hotten and that they can move
in straight away. She asks her to see a counsellor but Kirsty isn't
happy.

Dingles
An outdoor conference is being held between the Glovers and the
Dingles. Roy leaves to go and meet Paulette. Someone suggests that
they go straight to Tara, but Ned says he did that after Linda's death
and got nothing but a pack of lies. Mandy, Paddy and Zoe appear. Zoe
gets a hostile reception but it calms down when she tells them that she
is here to help.

Woolpack
Paulette is sat on her own waiting for Roy when Scott spots her. He
goes over and asks if she has been stood up and if he can entertain her
whilst she waits. They introduce themselves and then Roy arrives. He
seems pleased to see Scott, and asks what they were doing. Paulette
tells him that Scott was chatting her up. Roy handles this remarkebly
well and goes off to buy Scott a pint. Scott turns to Paulette and asks
why she tried to get him into trouble with a friend. She says she
thought he could handle it. Vic is asking Terry how things went with
Heather. He remarks slowly, as in they haven't. Now is not the right
time.

Dingles
Ned is complaining to Zoe. She explains that although they had Franks
word about the free rent, there was no written, legal agreement. Zoe
says she will talk to the board but Mandy points out that with only 20%
shares and with Tara having 60% shares, she can say anything but she has
no more power than they have. She tells them to go to the press, but
they douse that idea. Zak asks her what they can do and Zoe's lack of
reply gives them the answer. Zak asks if the family can be left along
to discuss it. Then he gives up and says that there is nothing they can
do.
